  • omg, i love this bike ! :)

  • love my 96 trident 900

  • I still ride my 1966 650 Triumph Trophy, and it always turns heads, and it has never let me down

  • ive got a 1976 bonneville, totally reliable, sounds great , handles well, had it 7 years, couldnt give a fuck bout the oil leak ,the new ones look great but i dont want one , something about that old engine i just love

  • *____________* so cute

  • Sadly, Americans don't think something is a motorcycle unless its over 1300cc.

  • @Bigd102030 That's not true. My FJR is only 1298cc.

  • Forget the old days of the bonneville I was there had one the new ones are far superior more fun etc... unless you enjoy breaking down pushing your bike back home. The Lucas electrics were a nightmare they called Lucas the prince of darkness they would go out anytime anywhere. The Amal carbs please beyond bad. I will take the new anyday quality and reliability.

  • @ThePleasanthill Well i dont see they could be much better than my T140 ES i ride her to and from work every single day ,rain or sunshine.Electronic ignition and Mikuni carbs.Totally reliable....

  • 22 bikes, 34 years riding, 40 years dreaming..........and now i have my Bonneville.....

  • I'm 6'2" and the bonnie is perfect. It is a lotta bike but not a monster. daveyshrike is right it's a shame that oversized seems to make the bike these days. I've ridden everything and the nothing comes close to the pleasure of the bonnie. Nothing against Harleys , but go to a Harley dealership then go to a Triumph dealership. Triumph does not spend money on the store - so the fancy floor space expense is not passed on to the Triumph buyer.

  • Yar, they're bigger than they look in photos, that's for sure!

  • Nah your wrong, the new Bonnie is a whole lotta motorcycle, the only cat I've ever seen dwarf it was 6'10

  • I had a Thruxton, too much like my old Honda CB360. Now run a Ducati Gt1000. That is a proper retro.

  • God I wish the thruxton was just a bit bigger. I dwarf that bike at 6'3"

  • thats the same problem they had in the 70's, but forget about the thruxton, check the new bird 1600, i want one

  • yeah dude, me too

  • damn it are you serious? i'm 6'2" and that's the bike i was looking to buy in a year or so. are the bonnies any better for us taller guys?

  • I'm 6'1". I checked out the Bonnevilles and the Scramblers in person. They are definately cool, but I think I would look too big for the bike. When looking at used ones...it seems 5'6" women love them. The moderate size would make a great beginners bike. The scrambler looks great, but it obviously won't be going over downed timber and rocks on a wooded train...however it should be great for a dirt road/trail. I still want the scrambler, but $8500 usd is too much.

  • It's sign of the times when folk think that proper bikes have to be really big. They never used to be - what's changed? I guess some yanks (not you!) think 'real' bikes are chromed-up land yachts, which is a pity.

  • @daveyshrike many of us yanks lust for a triumph. mmm....mmmm....beauties!!!!

  • Phelix, i am 6'2'' and I ride a thruxton (09). I love it, size feels perfect for me - go for a ride on one, they are heaps of run the the thruxton is tuned up a little on the bonnies. Good luck.

  • ok i'm 6'11" what are you trying to say??? nice bike : ]

  • Just that it feels perfect for me - best way to find out is to see if you can go for a ride on one. Good luck.

  • nice song too : ]

  • I had the same problem with my sportster, at 6'1" i was worried i looked like crusty the clown on his mini circus bike. but i've seen a few thruxtons being ridden by 6' plus guys and the bike looks fine

  • cool song. reminds me of J. Hendrix.

  • I have a 2005 T100 in black/white. Love the looks of the orange/white too.

  • Got a Scrambler 900 as a courtesy bike a few weeks back. Not ideal for the main roads ( I was heading down the A1 towards Seahouses from the outskirts of Edinburgh) but fantastic fun on the twisties. Also a great sounding bike.

  • i have one of the Bonne 50th anniversary bikes, wouldn't part with it, love the thruxton also,

  • Bonneville=Triumph

  • how much does it cost

  • Got mine for around $7k

  • New bonnie in white with the alloy rims...that's for me ;)

  • Thruxton by far my pick! I know the Bonneville is a well established classic! But! The Thruxton for Looks & Sound! I Would Also Part With My Left Testicle To Own A Thruxton.

  • You know the Thruxton IS the Bonneville with a few bits changed, right? Bars, pipes, lamp, seat, a bit of fiddling - same bike, good looking - but less comfortable. And they all sound muted as standard due to reg.s...swap those pipes.

  • the new scambler in green looks sweet! so want one got my bike test on tues so hopefully on day ill be riding one of thoswe bad boys

  • GOOD LUCK!!!

I'd give my left nut for a Thruxton!

  • 1:18 - what's that helmet (black with gray stripe) the guy's wearing? anyone knows? I love that look!

  • google Davida Helmets uk

  • i was going to buy the new 675 untill I was told there made in Korea, British my bloody arse.

  • Triumph is a British company with production facilities in the UK and Thailand, just like BMW which is a German company with production facilities in Thailand, Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia and Russia. Ain't you heard of GLOBALIZATION!

  • The 675 is still made in the UK...

Only the "Classic Line" (Bonnies/Thruxtons/etc.) not being sold in Europe/the UK are produced in Thailand... for the time being... Triumph has no production facilities in Korea... Whoever told you that, don't know jack...

  • Local dealer said he wasn't sure when I asked it they were actually made in Britain. Snake-Oil Salesman

  • was he selling you a fake bike?

  • newbonnevilleriders. com

  • Where's the video shot? Looks like parts of Route Napoleon in southern France. I'm I right?

  • SSALEMI

    I'M WITH YOU

    GREAT BIKE

  • This is the solution for older men's erection problems !

  • WHO DOES THE MUSIC?

  • Yes, sounds great! Anyone...?

  • Okay, so the pipes are mild! So put on some Thruxton Pipes, or Norman Hyde, or something! My new Bonnie is nice! No leaking oil, reliable, well built. The question isn't whether it's made in Thailand, but whether it's good. It was designed in the U.K. and many components are made there. Assembled in Thailand. Not the end of the world. Made in UK it would be at least 12K, maybe more, only 8K made in Thailand. Looks great! Not a fake thing like Royal Enfield, Triumph is here and real!

  • Sorry you're confused, the iron barrel Royal Enfields are actually the only "real" old bikes produced up until 2008. They had to stop production of the old motor this year due to epa regulations. The Classic Royal Enfield iron barrel motor is the same engine as the 1950s model. Far from being fake. And for the record, I did have some free flowing pipes on my Bonnie, still didn't change the fact is was heavy and slow. Nothing like the old Triumphs, ride an old one and you will see what I mean.

  • No, maybe you're confused. By "real" I meant "Triumph is a real motorcycle company, engineering and building modern bikes in today's world." Enfield is, by comparison, a reanimated corpse, ancient bikes frozen in time and made in India. In the scooter scene, virtually nobody buys Indian scooters, because they aren't that great and because "REAL" (Italian) vespas/lambrettas are easily available. The new Bonnie's look great and run great, sell like hotcakes, and get great reviews. Go Hinkley!

  • If the Bonnie wasn't sporty enough for you, even with free flow pipes (although who knows if you had good ones), you should have bought the Thruxton instead of the Bonnie. EVERYBODY but everybody loves this retro bike. And it should be appreciated for what it is: a modern bike with retro styling (and enough retro engineering to support the retro styling). It is well-built and reliable, runs smoothly. It doesn't matter what you think, but Triumph rocks and it's important that folks know it!!!

  • I had one, sold it. Felt and sounded like a new Honda, no soul. Now they are made in Thailand or something too. If you want a Triumph, buy an old one.

  • And buy some tools, lol.

  • This is the solution for older men's erection problems !

  • ... it's tempting buy one of these as well, just as a backup for my T140. After all they look and sound great! Nice vid...

  • I love my new 2008 (last year for carbs) Bonnie T100 with a lot of accessories -- sold my Benelli Tornado 650S to pay for it.

  • Looked for Benelli Tornado 650S: very nice Italian bike, don't know much about it, but if it comes close to the Laverda's (750 twins) they're great! Borrowed one from a friend and loved the handling.... ;-)
