"IUS" is Indiana University Southeast, located in New Albany, Indiana. The band, now in its 14th season, is composed of both students and community members. Many of the latter are music teachers and/or professional musicians. Some first played under Don's direction in the 1950s. Others were Nan's high school students - recently or from many years ago.
