  • Did you record this, then do the video? Trumpet valves are going down out of time, and it kinda has to be on your face when playing it :P Got a lovely tone tho (:

  • yes, I recorded it first on my Bach Strad - the unusual trumpet in the video doesn't work particularly well, but just has visual quality!

  • Not a Jazz type myself, but damn this stuff is good, comes right from the bottom and hits you with it's bizarre blend of Spanish guitar and Trumpet. it has some real drive intensity that takes you to the outer edge . Like to see you do more work in this area, take a look at B-Tribe and add some Gypsy to your Sangria.

  • OK, thanks, will do!

  • Wow you're very good. I ope I can play with you :)

  • Are you really the one playing the trumpet?

  • I really am! (I used a better trumpet to record it than the strange one in the video though)

  • I am .... it was all recorded on the Bach Strad though, not on the strange two belled one, the world isn't ready for that...

  • Very good playing and arrangement!@sorrentofrankenstien

  • I love female Brass players!!! its a big turn on for me lol

  • Great song and recipe. The last time I saw a mutant trumpet like that was at Joe Wilsons!

  • yeeees.... who knew that there are 2 mutant horns in circulation! It's not the same one that Paul and Dave made over our gas ring in Brighton Grove all those years ago - this one was given to me by a retiring brass peri so I am honoured to be able to develop the sellafield trumpet tradition..

  • aw shucks Mike... We now host the BA top up, so there's always that...

  • Its nice to see me old muckas on you tube, my two most inspirational people of all time, the people who gave me the knowledge i have today, can i come back please and do the whole thing again.. Mike Cullen

  • Hallo, first time caller here. I've just tried following the recipe for this beverage-cum-emmetic. Not as tasty as the video would suggest but at least the lino's come up a treat.

    Yours, Acker Bilk, Croydon

  • glad to be of service, Mr Bilk. It maybe that you used inferior brand peas - they have to be freshly shelled in order to create a sweet vegetable nose with chocolate gravy overtones that the vintage Geordie Sangrias will have.

  • Wahay bonnie lass. I dropped me bottle of dog and me tabs when i saw yer face! You`ve grown up since yer days at Bradmore Way.

  • all attributed to a healthy diet of Geordie Sangria, of course! Full of vitamins, fibre and preservatives. Much better than that Cockney sangria - those jellied eels and scampi fondue blend - eeeugh.

  • so weird? love the trumpet thought

  • thanks - there's nothing like a bit of authentic Newcastle flamenco played on a mutant two belled trumpet.

  • i think it's great :)

  • thank you lanaleprich for your kind words - we had fun making it (and drinking it, of course)

  • Hey, I'm no expert - but why not attempt to compose a discernible melody next time you try to write a 'song'?

  • Back again, are you? Why are you (and your various aliases) stalking me? You keep joining up, then watch no other videos but the ones I am involved with (either directly or indirectly) and then leave personal vindictive comments.
