Im slightly interested in Warmachine beyond all my 40k'in but can't decide between Cryx or the Oroboros Hordes legion, also anyone know where I can get a hold of the rules?
@ByteMeMan Quickstart rules are available as a free download off the Privateer website - just click on the game you want the rules for, then an entry on the side bar "The Game" and the download link'll be at the bottom of that page.
Doesn't cover rules for infantry beyond the warcasters/warlocks but gives you enough info for a small beginner game and the stat cards for what you get in the starter boxes, so you could proxy a game with a few circles of cardboard if you wanted.

KREOSS!! SORCHA!! I had heard there was a Warmachine video game in the works and this is the first time I've seen some actual footage. Stryker and the Ironclad in action looks awesome.
Hopefully you can play as other Warcasters. (Asphyxious, Goreshade the Bastard, Butcher, Karchev, Kraye, Nemo, Severius, Harbinger of Menoth, etc.)
Hopefully they somewhere down the line there will be a Hordes Expansion. (Trollbloods FTW!!)
@AshhNT1 I'm hoping the same, even if they just stick to characters and 'jacks that were around at that point in the timeline (looks like the campaign'll be focussed on the Khadoran occupation of Llael). Problem with doing that is that they may not add the Retribution of Scyrah into this (then again, they could be in an expansion pack or DLC along with other warcasters, 'jacks and whatnot).
I hope this is good. They have a great setting to play off of. The game doesn't look to be the best graphics, but the art style is awesome and that is what really counts.
Maybe they'll get some work done on the Protectorate's forces. They have, in my opinion, the most impressive looking warjacks and warcaster armor. That and the possibility of Bastions and Cinerators is too good to pass up.
2) the jacks dont seem to have any weight to them. Agile and quick I'm fine with, but the individual movements (to me, at least) should be slower, more dilberate. More like an 5-8 ton monster, less like an upscaled person with bad posture.
@PyroReguLus u mad bro? i play the tabletop aswell so i agree on the movement but i have a few questions for the game like:is it a player for the warcaster and then a seperate player for a jack and another for the other jack or is ti really like fist move that jack then that jack the your warcaster ex. ex....?
Stryker is right handed though for his sword quicksilver... im painting the commander coleman stryker model in my hand right now... the lord commander is right handed too... he holds quicksilver mkII with a leading right hand >.> i hope they fix this.

@ShadowFighter15 And don't forget that a starter box is only 50 USD compared to the was 90 but now 110 USD starters for Warhammer. Plus, it's much easier to play with your units in the other two games produced by the same company. Too bad GW is too busy screwing the pooch for money...

I will probably try this out. Me and my friends just got into table top games and we are doing 40k with plans to move into Warmachine as a second game. Warhammer Fantasy just seems eh compared to all the steampunk goodness here lol.
As for the game iself: I dunno. I want to like this game, but the way it looks right now... aiming ranged attacks is shit, animations could be much smoother and targetings/controls seem to be way too clunky.

If you only fight with your mage it might take a bit from the game. Granted they control everything, I think switching to your jacks would/will be sharp and more appropriate.

@defenderxvi There sure is. I use to be well into my 40k but, like a lot of people it seems, I moved over into Warmahordes, and I've never looked back. Its cheaper, better balanced, and alot more fun. In fact, I find 40k matches painful to watch - they seem too messy.

Personally I would like to see the Butcher as a playable character, and hell just to make it fair we could have everyone else fight against him. You know give him a bit of a challenge
Cool. Badass wizards, or whatever the hell the warcasters are (I'm new to warmachine, cut me some slack), and their giant killing machines ready to slash, crush, and possibly shoot anything and everything. Hopefully what looks like a focus on melee will keep the rabid Gears fans (no offense to the sane ones) from bashing this like they did Space Marine.
That's from Hordes, you'll have to wait for them to make a game of that. But if this does well enough, maybe we'll get a Hordes game, and maybe a cross with Warmachine we'll get have the Warjacks and Warbeasts slug it out.
Anyone else notice the super generic weaponless Menoth 'jacks behind Kreoss. I know they were probably the last faction added and I am excited to see the weapon loadout. Soooo excited!

Thus, if they made it turn based, then the impact wouldn't be so great. And so, instead of a turn-based game, we get a slasher in which you have to kick ass and use your gray-matter to some point. But if the made it turn-based, then with simultaneous turns, and giant armies. Or the guys responsible for the video-game should have taken example from Relic and make it like Dawn of War. Still, looking forward to this game.
I'm a Warhammer/Warhammer 40k fan and I usually stick with the 41st millennium/Old and New Worlds, but I'm also interested with other tabletops. The Warmachine universe isn't some D&D clone, but it's as grimmdark as WHF and SRSL kickass. What other tabletop offers pimp'n techno-magi warriors that control humanoid engines of utter destruction? I like the video game, though it's no turn-based, it's still OK. They made it like that, because Warmachine is fast as lightning.
Looks really good, however this looks like a arcade game, not a campaign! :( If they had a big battle campaign now were talking. Meh it still looks good!
This game looks really cool, I've seen warmachine played a lot, though I grew up on warhammer and now am a Malifaux guy. Only thing that bugs me is how much it looks like Space Marine. I can't help but feel that this isn't a coincidence that this is coming out so shortly after SM. I'm not dissing on it though before you WM fans try to pick me apart.
@Benns1991 I wasn't comparing the tabletops, I never played WM so I have nothing to say for it. All I'm saying is it's quite the coincidence that this game looks so much like the space marine game. calling out the developers really, I see this too much in the gaming industry were a game comes out and then a hundred others like it pop out simply to hop on the hype train. And I agree, warhammer has come down to rolling dice because the battlefields are nowhere big enough to support the battles.
Clearly this game will be successful because it has a spikey-haired guy with a big sword walking through a fire at 1:28. That is always the formula for success.
Fapfapfap. The only thing I can complain about in this trailer are the console-ish Devil May Cry-like, totally unfitting animations that are incredibly obsolete. But I guess they want it to look like Space Marine and that today's youth doesn't mind such nonsense. Oh well.

Cool. Badass wizards, or whatever the hell the warcasters are (I'm new to warmachine, cut me some slack), and their giant killing machines ready to slash, crush, and possibly shoot anything and everything. Hopefully what looks like a focus on melee will keep the rabid Gears fans (no offense to the sane ones) from bashing this like they did Space Marine.

That's from Hordes, you'll have to wait for them to make a game of that. But if this does well enough, maybe we'll get a Hordes game, and maybe a cross with Warmachine we'll get have the Warjacks and Warbeasts slug it out.

Anyone else notice the super generic weaponless Menoth 'jacks behind Kreoss. I know they were probably the last faction added and I am excited to see the weapon loadout. Soooo excited!

It's a Crusader without its mace. They are meant to be labor jacks that when needed just grab a weapon and act as a warjack.

It really does look like they're sorta sticking to the original release lists for the units, which is too bad, I'd love to see Thunderhead make an appearance here and be awesome.

Thus, if they made it turn based, then the impact wouldn't be so great. And so, instead of a turn-based game, we get a slasher in which you have to kick ass and use your gray-matter to some point. But if the made it turn-based, then with simultaneous turns, and giant armies. Or the guys responsible for the video-game should have taken example from Relic and make it like Dawn of War. Still, looking forward to this game.

I'm a Warhammer/Warhammer 40k fan and I usually stick with the 41st millennium/Old and New Worlds, but I'm also interested with other tabletops. The Warmachine universe isn't some D&D clone, but it's as grimmdark as WHF and SRSL kickass. What other tabletop offers pimp'n techno-magi warriors that control humanoid engines of utter destruction? I like the video game, though it's no turn-based, it's still OK. They made it like that, because Warmachine is fast as lightning.

This game looks really cool, I've seen warmachine played a lot, though I grew up on warhammer and now am a Malifaux guy. Only thing that bugs me is how much it looks like Space Marine. I can't help but feel that this isn't a coincidence that this is coming out so shortly after SM. I'm not dissing on it though before you WM fans try to pick me apart.

@Benns1991 I wasn't comparing the tabletops, I never played WM so I have nothing to say for it. All I'm saying is it's quite the coincidence that this game looks so much like the space marine game. calling out the developers really, I see this too much in the gaming industry were a game comes out and then a hundred others like it pop out simply to hop on the hype train. And I agree, warhammer has come down to rolling dice because the battlefields are nowhere big enough to support the battles.

Fapfapfap. The only thing I can complain about in this trailer are the console-ish Devil May Cry-like, totally unfitting animations that are incredibly obsolete. But I guess they want it to look like Space Marine and that today's youth doesn't mind such nonsense. Oh well.
