Something is up with that GT because two weeks ago i went with my friend to that same track and he had a 2011 v6 camaro and his best time was 9.49 and i raced my bone stock automatic 87 5.0 gt which i found out that it doesnt even have the HO cam it has the regular 302 cam and i got a 9.81 but i do think that i should get better than that its just to hard to launch in that track with regular tires i spin wayyyy to much there.
Ran a 13.42 @103mph in my stock GT....this is either a very novice driver...or its a V6. My bet is on the latter.....video is blurry so its hard to tell, but the time says it all.
@JarrodGT , Don't know what to tell you. Its a GT. I took the video and I work with the guy. there are a lot of factors that play into the times that he runs, for one thing I found out he was leaving his a/c on as well as his traction control. also where we run the humidity is around 69% with a temp in the 80's giving a higher Density Altitude. it was also his first time at the track and its an auto. Not making excuses for him. just making the point that it is a GT.
@kgeorgeson I took a look at the video again and converted to HD...does in fact seem to be a GT. Traction control or not...A/C or not...car should have run a full second faster. 9.6x in the 1/8 converts to roughly a 15.0 1/4. Stock with trac control on and A/C blasting....high humidity...high DA...etc etc Even with a poor driver...should not see a 15.xx sec 1/4 time. Guy needs to learn to drive or not miss a shift.
yea i dont think that was a mustang gt cuz even tho im a chevy/camaro guy a gt mustang is a hell of alot faster than that and shoulda smoked that rice shit by a hell of alot more.
So did the Tiburon even break the 10 second mark? Looks like fun, though the GT should have been a bit quicker given that a bone stock fox body can run in the 9.6's in the 1/8th.
The tibs best run was like a 10.03 I think and the mustangs best was like a 9.4x, it's an auto trans and I think he also leaves the traction control on. It is all in good fun.
automatic are the best when it come to drag racing.

@foxsetup if u have a highly modded 1 then yes but stock i must say no. i had a auto 94 gt with alot of mods to it, it was VERY slow

That is a V6 mustang. When I race my friends tiburon in my lightly modded V6 mustang it always ends up like that.
