  • Ik wist niet dat er nog serieuze aanhang bestond voor de marxistische "wet van de tendentieus dalende winstvoet". Maar als je het na enkele decennia weer vd zolder haalt en er wat leuke plaatjes bijzet, zijn er altijd mensen die er weer intrappen. Het simpele punt is dat de inkomens van die "losers" uit het filmpje mondiaal enorm zijn gestegen en niet gedaald. Marx kon dat nog niet weten, maar wij wel natuurlijk.

  • First you state that labor is removed by technology, and then you state that companies move to cheap labor regions? Also by making processes more efficient and less labor intensive, we as mankind free up manpower for other purposes thus there doesnt need to be 'losers' in this game, just a temporary minor inefficiency of the labor market that will sort out in the long term. We as a species are limited by the resources on earth, not labor.

  • this type of malthusian fear mongering is short-sighted. this specialization has been occurring for millennia and will continue to occur and humanity will adapt as society changes. the nub of the argument is that economies are zero-sum games, with just enough room for a definite number of players. i don't know whether that is true, but history tends to evince the opposite.
