My dog fetches but does not like to give. More recently, he is now 18 months, he has decided he is a hunter and chases deer, only coming back after 20 minutes when he has exhusted himself. I love the breed, but like most working does they need training, exercise and in the end have thier own mind.

Not natural fetchers? Perhaps. I haven't yet read this except here. My seven month Porty is a naturally born fetcher. Great breed. Cheers.
