Yeah, I recorded the solo with the backingtrack into pro tools and filmed as I did the take. Afterwards I used windows movie maker to put the final mix and the video footage together,

Well, it's funny because I'm not satisfied with my own sound in this video..I think I messed a bit up mixing it in pro tools...but hey, glad you liked it :) The guitar is a gibson 335. I took a look at your videos and I think YOU have a great sound, cool blues-playing :)

This is my transcription of Chick Corea's solo on Spain, so it's not my own improvisation. I haven't analysed it that much yet, but basically use of chordtones, extensions, pentatonics are essential here, I guess. The outside-tones as you refer to, occurs mostly over the dominant chords, like over F#7 and C#7alt.

Yeah, no problem man... you definitely deserve it. Ironically, I attempted to transcribe Joe Farrell's solo on this tune many years ago. I got about 10 measures through and then gave up. Actually, I didn't truly give up, but got side-tracked with other things at the time and forgot about it. I'm considering going back and finishing it now. Unlike most solos I transcribe, I actually wrote this one down. Usually, I spend a bunch of time transcribing, only to forget the solo later.
