No they're incredibly different. That movie was about canniblistic hillbillies right? This has a really weird, supernatural plot. Also it's sort of a comedy. There aren't any :"laugh out loud" moments but you can tell it's never taking itself that seriously.

I am really confused about this. I know a lot of people say "oh it was just a dream" and the road was called marcott because of the doctor and that the marion was the only one who could get to marcott (the doctor that saved her) but it doesnt add up. It couldnt have all been a dream because while cleaning up the road, two guys found a note that was written by frank that said "what to do when this is all over" and frank never showed her the note so she didnt know what it said. It wasnt a dream.
