@beautybuff820 I'd say it's all about personal preference... Really you can use any brush you want, any size. The benefit of a smaller brush is that it can get into smaller places (around the nose, etc.). It will just take a little longer to apply.
hey i was wondering what your opinion was on this: i have oily skin and i have ver white fair skin like yours i used the colorstay foundation in 110 ivory but also i seen that the buff matches u well u think i should switch up to the buff one? i have found that the ivory is a lil lighther then my skin so should i change it? thanks.
very helpful, i just got the colorstay in ivory combo/oily. And i heard it was so great foundation and i just didnt know how to apply it... but this totally helps, thanx!! =D
Great tutorial. I love when you say "MAC 109, 15 000 thumbs up" :D
I use Revlon Buff as well, but with a wet sponge because this foundation is drying soooo fast. Maybe i'll try that MAC brush because your technique seems to be very good and i'm sick of buying so many sponges;)
i love your review.. i also used the colorstay.. and loved it but really wanted to try mac studio fix fluid which i also love.. but it totally broke me out.. i used to have good skin and now its bad.. :|.. going back to colorstay.
I use the shade buff as well, though in the dry/normal skin formula. The makeup lady at my shoppers drugmart was kind enough to actually crack open bottles to test on me. The buff is like my ideal shade, I love it. I look at it and dont see one way or another any pink or even yellow undertones. It's almost like neutral rather than one way or the other. (like how l'oreal's true match neutral shades are) Great application and review. Never thought to use the 109 for applying. Will have to try that
I don't understand it...anytime I *touch* my face with power it's cake city. I don't see how people can use it over foundation and say it helps the cak..iness. I do have dry skin but yeah.
And I had a question for you. I have the Ivory cause I'm fair skinned but it's so pink it really washes me out. Do you think it would be safe to get Buff and maybe mix them or something? Ivory does match me pretty well besides the red so I'm worried buff may be too dark. Opinions?
I think it would be worth a try. It sucks because buff is *almost* too dark for me... It's like me with a little tan. But ivory is too fair/pink. I wish there was one in the middle! I say give it a try, especially if you can get it on a BOGO deal or something.
we all love MAC sure, but it is expensive so i have switched to revlon and i love it! And it actually last me longer than MAC did. And it is great coverage, it just depends on how bad your skin issues are, like pimples, blemishes. if you don't have too bad of a problem with those than this is the best store bought foundation i've tried yet!
This is why I think MAC foundation is so worth th e cost. I have the new (amazing!) Studio Sculpt. I use at least 1/4 of the amount, because a little goes such a long way. Revlon may be cheaper, but you have to use so much more. Also, there's no way it can match how well the MAC stays on. Good quality makeup is so worth it to me! I can't wait to get the 109 brush though!
I haven't been able to bring myself to spend so much on foundation. Plus, the nearest MAC counter is 2 hours away and I just don't go out that way much, so I would hate to order the wrong shade. The 109 is amazing though!
hi, you're skin look so flawless. have u made a video about skin care routine or skin care product that u use? if u have not done yet, i'll be waiting.
Well I bought it in "buff" and that was fine, but then I bought it in "ivory" and it was a runnier consistency with a strange smell. I'm going to return that one... I think I just got a bad bottle. But the other one isn't bad.
is that brush rather small for applying foundation tho?
