All 90's rap/hiphop has this sort of g-funk feel like this. Well produced and mastered using less sampling and more real studio musicians to lay down tracks
The rapping is more syncopated and the MC becomes another percussion instrument that is essential to keep the flow going. 90's hiphop epitomised this west coast/bay area style that you don't get with your fiddycent 'lets just talk over the whole track' no-talent ass. My hiphop collection ends at 00, well before the wigga invasion.
@itadaku23 Have to agree with you man, but there's still good music underground today, I mean, I'm white but I still listen to '90s rap, underground rap, and best part about it, is I'm only 13.
@itadaku23 could you recommend any other artists? It's better coming from someone who knows what they're talking about then just a list on the internet :D
It's a lot harder to rap without cussing at least once or twice. I mean motherf-ckr rhymes with so much! I respect him for this efforts but seriously he'd have more fun being able to swear. I love my gangsta rap but don't think for a second I'll be influenced by it I don't believe half the shit being said as it is. Its entertainment and as far as that goes I'd rather heard about drug dealing and looting than some pretentious eminem rubbish that's basically self delusional whinging shit
aaah yes the 90's why does it seems like these days people will like anything and anyone. there are only very few rappers that are good these (lil wayne not being one of them). yeah wish i would have boughten one of his tracks. thank god theres youtube
i bought this album like 10 years ago and it remains 1 of my favourite hip hop albums of all time! no cussing and a great flow with catcchy lyrics make this a must have!
Skeelo was pretty fuckin sick..so smooth and he his lyrics rhymes were amazing. I want him to come back and give the world a reminder of how things were way back when.
I listen to underground rap and I'm only 3.
Fuck how old you are. Just listen to the song.
