  • I listen to underground rap and I'm only 3.

Fuck how old you are. Just listen to the song.

  • I have this album. Very nice.

  • Ronald Isley's "Yeah" in the background vocals.

  • i grew up on this cassette ....back in the early 90...man stuff sure has changed alot since then....

  • Love it!

Anyone know what Mr. Skee is up to these days?

  • All Skee-lo's tracks are straight I'll -Word Is Bond-

  • That jazzy beat...

  • All 90's rap/hiphop has this sort of g-funk feel like this. Well produced and mastered using less sampling and more real studio musicians to lay down tracks

The rapping is more syncopated and the MC becomes another percussion instrument that is essential to keep the flow going. 90's hiphop epitomised this west coast/bay area style that you don't get with your fiddycent 'lets just talk over the whole track' no-talent ass. My hiphop collection ends at 00, well before the wigga invasion.

  • @itadaku23 Have to agree with you man, but there's still good music underground today, I mean, I'm white but I still listen to '90s rap, underground rap, and best part about it, is I'm only 13.

  • @itadaku23 could you recommend any other artists? It's better coming from someone who knows what they're talking about then just a list on the internet :D

  • @Munzipunk

Here's are some of the better ones.. but basically look on the back of the CD, if it says '(C) 1991 - 1999 you'll be golden!

    2nd II None

    Ant Nanks

    Richie Rich

    Twinz

    Lil Half Dead

    Mack 10 (+wc extras)

  • @itadaku23 This whole skee-lo is made of samples... But I agree, 90's hiphop all day!

  • It's a lot harder to rap without cussing at least once or twice. I mean motherf-ckr rhymes with so much! I respect him for this efforts but seriously he'd have more fun being able to swear. I love my gangsta rap but don't think for a second I'll be influenced by it I don't believe half the shit being said as it is. Its entertainment and as far as that goes I'd rather heard about drug dealing and looting than some pretentious eminem rubbish that's basically self delusional whinging shit

  • he needs to return 2 hip hop

  • aaah yes the 90's why does it seems like these days people will like anything and anyone. there are only very few rappers that are good these (lil wayne not being one of them). yeah wish i would have boughten one of his tracks. thank god theres youtube

  • i bought this album like 10 years ago and it remains 1 of my favourite hip hop albums of all time! no cussing and a great flow with catcchy lyrics make this a must have!

  • wonderfull jazzy beat, fresh lycrics, straight mid 90's vibes for your mind. Enjoy, this is real Hip-Hop!!!

  • cant believe this was'nt a single.

  • one of the few albums ever that doesn't have one single crap song ...they are all dope ...ten thumbs up

  • fresh tune

  • I just listened to his album...this is true hip hop...

I can't believe every-fucking-song is gjust amazing..that is rare these days

  • yee man Skee-Lo make a second album in 2000 if i remeber is "I Can't Stop"

  • Just bought "I wish" the cd and I am listening to it over and over .Skee- Lo sounds mighty FResshhh!

  • now I can feel the beats so I'ma kick back for a second

Have a seat yo and this is how it sounds

  • i was like 9 yrs old singing the words to this whole album. still lovin it!

    missing those old times :)

  • sooo under rated,classic album

  • Yo I had only this one LP and never seen any other did he make any other LPs anybody knows???

  • is that al greene singing on that sample?? what is the original song from the sample

  • Sounds to me like part of "For the love of you" by The Isley Bros.

  • thanks man!

  • Skeelo was pretty fuckin sick..so smooth and he his lyrics rhymes were amazing. I want him to come back and give the world a reminder of how things were way back when.

  • taking me back to 7th grade right here

  • same with me

  • in a way, he kinda looks like stephaun mauberry from the boston celtics (x-nay the tatoos on mauberry)

    by the way, sick song!

  • Damn good

  • Man SKEE LO ROCKS !

  • Such a damn shame Skee never jumped off because I really miss him. Much respect for posting this shit man.
