ya, china will treat people politely, i would know, ive been there. in france, they treat foreigners, especailly americans like shit, or people who dont speak their language
why's it so good? france has hot women, beaches chocolate croissants, fine wines china has none of this. how'd you blindfold a chinaman? with dental floss
i was mostly referring to how the country looks by the railway, so I compared how my trip was from CDG to paris with train, with this trip, and this looks a lot better
One may see a specific financial blackmail in this disaster, namely a threat from the powers that run the Anglo-Dutch financial system, against the German economy and its banking system.
The Thyssen-Krupp firm, producer of the Transrapid Maglev, has announced that it will enter negotiations with the Chinese now, on a sale of the technology to China, where maglev projects have a better chance to get realized.
The decision against the maglev project expands the list of other pioneer technologies that have been sacrificed—nuclear fission power, high-temperature reactor, manned space missions—along with the German mark (as concessions to get approval to Germany's reunification from London and Paris). The same German government that is throwing the maglev away, is also the one that is planning to scrap the German constitution for the Lisbon Treaty. (Part 3 Follows)
Axing of Munich Transrapid—A Wedding Gift to the New Entente Cordiale?
March 28 (LPAC) -- The coincidence of the Brown-Sarkozy meeting in London with the decision of the German government yesterday to scrap the maglev project in Munich, is more than troubling. (More Follows)
Well put, easystreets70. In my field, as in most every profession, when submitting budgets, it's always best to aim high, for several good reasons, not least of which is that (if you are able to obtain the sum asked), you can to some extent then control "budget creep", & you have a reserve for the unforeseen. You can always come down. Best way is to come up with the most realistically generous figure, add 25%, & start from there. This (Munich) would never had happened had they done so. (Cont)
I'm very sorry to have just read that Germany's plan to launch a 500 kmh+ Maglev rail service has collapsed amid soaring costs.
It was to be built in Munich from the airport to the city centre, making it Europe's first commercial maglev train.
The Shanghai maglev is the only one in the world in operation. This — the Munich story — is very very bad news, and reflects the idiotic "austerity" attitude that prevents any true progress. I urge you all to protest and oppose this with all vigor.
It is simple too expensive with its 3 billion Euros (4,6 billion dollars) for the 37,5 kilometers connecting Munich with its airport. A lot of money rather to be put in schools & education, also because a fast train will do it too. This technique is good for long distance where it fills a gap between train and plane. My opinion.
Yes, easystreets70: I agree that Maglev's greatest & most urgently needed application is in long-distance, intercity & transcontinental high-speed lines. If this & other great projects of planetary infrastructure — such as Lyndon LaRouche's call for the Eurasian and World Land-Bridges — are undertaken, the future prosperity & stability of nations is assured, heralding more just economic relations in a community of principle among perfectly independent sovereign nation states. (To be Continued)
"To put money in education" was a little simple from my side, even if it is not untrue. Now, where the project has died, one rather likes it. In Germany they all blame each other & the're all right. "They" just came up w/wrong numbers & figures, that is what let it die. It is good to present the facts (equals truth sometimes) the way they are in the first place. The maglev technology has something enviroment friendly & lasting more then usual trains or planes. Emotional subject not like an A380.
Yes, the US is far behind the times as far as rail travel goes. And to think, they were once the innovators. Anyway, the TGV would make a far better business deal than a Maglev.
The vmax of the TGV is higher, but the normal operating speed of the Transrapid is about 100km/h higher than that of the TGV. It doesn't matter tho, because the TGV is working and selling and the Transrapid is just a mess.
Why don't all you racist pricks stop bashing the USA when this video has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE USA? It says CHINA. Do YOU see USA? No? I didn't THINK so. So just TFU and watch the damn video or leave.
RocketRodder, what does bashing the USA have to do with being "racist"? Other than that, I agree with your point ... this video has nothing to do with the USA.
Comon, RocketRodder is right. This video has nothing to do with the USA, the train is designed in Germany (Europe) and placed in China (Asia)... I hate the pentagon just like anyone else in the world hates it, but that doesn't mean we should always bash other people here on Youtube. Besides, Youtube is American, so maybe you're just a bit jealous?
btw, I have nothing to do with the USA, I am from Belgium
I know I HATE 9it when people keep on critising countries people do it to Germany to and call us Germans nazis and I still don't understand this is a maglev train why are we bringing up racism this is a German train by the way ^.^

Take ICE-Velaro. It's much more modern and faster than TGV. Also made in Germany.

USA does not have the superior decisiveness to produce
transportation products such as these, lol. Money is
all spent on wishy-washy issues. We need to play catch
up in order to remain competitive with foreign countr-ies. We are at the losing end.
CoolOrb 4 years ago
We are already developing this transportation system in PA and MD. transrapid-usa . com
