  • This ...is simply beautiful tennis.

  • Only the Bryan Bros can do this...

  • Those volleys go around 2 times faster than my groundstrokes; it makes me want to cry.

  • I could watch this for hours

  • すっげえええええええええ

  • they have the best looking volleys ive ever seen. they make it look so easy

  • Whata Fack !!! :D

  • good to you guys

  • Hardest drill ever

  • bryan brothers? that's djokovic and a bryan brother

  • @1cy1nsanity1ternity Apparently your retarded

  • @TheJonesroofing.... you mean "you're" not your*

  • Hahaha anyone else heard at the end the coach(I believe) said good now again

  • Holy shit.... I wet my pants. ;-;

  • people stop with the nadal/federer vs the Twins....NO CHANCE!!!!!

  • @wctennisnyc

well, obvious federer/nadal would have no chance

well federer/wawrinka or federer/mirnyi might be a different story

  • Wow. I'm at a loss for words.

  • As much as I love the Bryan Brothers, Nadal and Federer would work them. Way too much talent

  • i would probably miss the first volley.

  • I've been playing tennis for 10+ years and can tell you that this is an extremely difficult drill. Anybody who tells you otherwise is mistaken.

  • looking at their skills and consistency and yet they still loose matches.it's a very difficult sport ;)

  • @Alex234b Indeed, but it's the most fun sport of all on par with soccer :)

  • @aonutube yep,i play it for almost 10 years, my favorite sport :D

  • fantastic much respect for doubles pro players id say as a singles player its much harder to play doubles

  • @tennisstar523 No it's not. Why do you think old people never play singles? Because it requires way less movement.

  • bastards sold a matchs

  • Wow...that is incredible

  • Players shuffle sideways in opposite direction of their partner. 63 shots in 47 seconds. 4 half volleys. 10 shots would have landed out. Why is this drill a 'good' drill?! IMO - The legs are there only to move dumbly, the heart is there if only because the two believe. The head is there in that tactically right/left, low/high, fast/fast is to be handled and done by each. Warm up, OK. Otherwise, give me meaning.

  • @bachfor You get to work on placement and precision as well as versatility (receiving the ball from everywhere, sending it everwhere). You get to work on movement as you need to be quick and in position for every shot, and you must face forwards all the time. It also teaches you to hit to the body, a valuable tactic in doubles.

    That's the value.

  • @bachfor shut up

  • @bachfor Your English is fucking horrible.

  • @DanimalLawlz Tahnks Jou! sow musch Why would I become a better player for having done this drill? The reasons, I imagine, are vague. Perhaps you with your supposed superior English skills could clarify?! Are you simply a language critic? I admit, I've done the drill myself and it is fun but, I just don't feel a direct relation between the drill and any match situation.

  • Their movement and hand skill is blistering. Most people could do it but not anywhere near with the touch and feel they're doing it with!

  • This drill can be done by 3.0 level players and up...but the pace, accuracy and ability to handle shots hit into the body in particular they just showed is at a world class level.

  • WOW !!!!

  • LOOK AT EM HANDSSSSS DAMN >:O

  • no wonder they hold the most titles-- this is really difficult work and takes tremendous stamina and forearm strength. it might be simple drill, but to ahve such mastery is not simmple

  • this is really easy. dear God lol

  • @1hbackhand unless you are a pro, this is not easy it's actually very challenging to do that many times in a row.

  • @FunnyPlace1 Actually we do this in college. and yes we are national champs every year besides 4 years ago. this drill is simple and easy. you need to learn how to play tennis better if you cant do this simple drill. ppsshh have to be pro my butt! lol

  • Me and my friend tried this out. Didn't even last 10 seconds and our volleys were probably going at half the speed. Bryan bros are too good.

  • that was pretty awesome

  • I don't think you can understand how hard this is to do that many times in a row if you dont play tennis.

  • @alloneword154 its pretty easy man, i did it yesterday with with my friend for ages and im 14

  • @thedeadburgerman2580 There's no way you hit with that kind of pace

  • @alloneword154 just out of interest how long have you been playing?

  • @thedeadburgerman2580 Your 14? I've been playing for one more year than you have been alive,

  • @alloneword154 and yet you call this hard? do you play like once a month or something no offence? this is boring cya

  • @thedeadburgerman2580 I'm guessing you play 8th doubles JV for a shitty tennis team. Your a complete idiot if you claim that you can do this drill like the Bryan brothers.

  • @thedeadburgerman2580 Put up some videos of you playing tennis and we'll see whos telling the truth or not.

  • But does it make you a Wimledon winner?

  • THA FUCK

  • @dura1mater Buddy do you know anything about tennis?

overrated no...they have made a name for themselves through hard work and determination. Look im a Canadian and in no way what so ever support bushes actions but how in the hell does that at all relate to the Byran brothers?

  • @Darkrayne1 My point is this. Doubles is dead, but the American media portrays it like it's real tennis. Most real tennis players have abandoned it. Scrubs like the Byran brothers pretend they are great because all the Real players don't even play it anymore. It's like playing beer pong at the frat . Not a real sport. But the Byran brothers are great at it. Same thing with Bush and nuclear weapons in Iraq. BUsh and media really fooled stupid Americans to think something was there.

  • @dura1mater I don't think I've ever heard anyone say Dent is good. Most commentators are pretty quick to point out Isner's faults as well.

  • Those volleys look like fucking smahes

  • IS this gooood "!

  • amazingggggggg what avolets mi god that exersise is so dificult

  • DAMN.

  • If only I had the volley like they do....

  • that looks easy but that is the hardest thing to do!!!!!!!

  • wow thats incredible!

  • being part romanian, a real romanian volley is when u jump on to the court nick the ball then sell it to ur mate at the trailer park for 10 euro cents

  • @HungryGoth hahahah so true im romanian too

  • @HungryGoth sa ne sugi pula la toti romanii englez spurcat

  • wow great skills there

  • amazing ! unbelievable !!!!!

  • Well remember guys these 2 eat sleep and breathe volley's.

  • they make it look so easy

  • holy shit... i do this drill but its not where close to as good as they do it...

  • theyre playing badminton lol.... that is crazy

  • O___o Now that's a drill...

  • wow this is really amazing but i guess since they play doubles their vollyes need to be at thta level

  • lol yep that's for sure

  • Comment removed

  • WTF!!! this is why i'm not a pro :)

  • That was hectic.

  • What the hell, amazing xD

  • C'est là qu'on se rend compte quel niveau ces mecs ont !!!

  • Dang. That's some pretty fine volleying. I wouldn't last 2 shots.

  • super hand-eye coordination

  • wow

  • this is a pretty cool drill

  • my view is the 77,777th :D

  • lmfao oh yeah munston22 i'm sure you and your 3.0 partner are able to volley the balls at each other that hard....

  • okay all i can say is OMG THATS INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!

  • ok thats just a little rediculous

  • why do they call it "Romanian?"

  • geniously

  • Volleying at this pace with the occasional shot to the body is easy?

  • Yeah doubt you could do it that hard though, slower, yes..

    post a vid.

  • Man I'd love to be able to do that

  • How's that even possible?

  • FAIL!

its real u moron its proably due to comp error with teh frames or somethin

  • that is impressive!

  • my friend frank do this drill alot but were not as good as the BB

  • Doubles is a VERY different game. Yes, it is possible that Nadal and Federer could roll the Bryan brothers. But they could just as easily get beaten by not working cohesively as a team.

  • Federer i understand seeing as he won the gold in doubles with stan, but nadal really doesnt fit the doubles mold. if nadal and fed were to play together im pretty sure the bryans would win quite easily.

  • Nadal plays differently in doubles. He's actually very aggressive as far as net play goes and plays a bunch of serve and volleys, etc. I understand what you mean though. If he was playing trademark singles Nadal, genuinely good doubles teams would have an easy time against him.

  • I actually haven't seen Nadal play doubles i was assuming, but if he were to play traditional doubles i might see him doing okay in doubles. i still don't see him being a standout... doubles is so much about service and return and Nadals returns are not the strongest point of his game and neither is his serve. The strongest points of his game is his relentless retrieval of balls, and in doubles retrieval of balls just does not count as a weapon. Still would be a fun match to watch regardless.

  • Nadal would have a few weapons that you should keep in mind

    1) His volleys are solid (he won a wimbledon)

    2) His passing shots are best in the buisness

Not to mention his serve isnt really fast, but its side spin jumps off the court, and the returning player would have trouble getting that back in play, keeping in mind there would be a player at the net

None the less, it would be fun to watch :)

  • and he's lefty

  • Unless if they decide to bring all the trophies from home and scare the crap outa the bryan bros

  • @Thephiphi true...because Federer is naturally an all court player which makes him way better at doubles than nadal.

  • @hattrickster33

Would be nice to see both archrivals play at least one tournament together before the end of Federer's career... I doubt it would happen, but everyone would sale their mom and kick a baby to have them do it in their tournament!

  • @GueorguiJoukov Haha yea because pretty much everyone in the world (even people who don't really like tennis) watches a slam final between Nadal and Federer

  • @Thephiphi nadal has won some atp doubles too like indian wells, but you're right, nadal and federer wouldn't be able to cooperate

  • @blazingswrd they could still win, by splitting the court in half

  • @Thephiphi nadal and djo lost together r1 against some random people.

  • @ChancellorTF2 Well this reiterates my point that Nadal does not fit the doubles Mold, but on the flip side you could argue that Nole's game is completely lost right now even when he does the right things he doesnt notice it himself and berates himself, but yes people who play doubles and make it their priority will undoubtedly beat a relatively new combination even if that combination are the number 1 and soon to be number 3 in the world respectively. =] Excuse my grammer im lazy lol

  • @Thephiphi He's already number 3 again.

  • @ChancellorTF At the time of my comment the points on the atp site were not updated but with fed beating novak in the semis it was guaranteed therefore my use of the phrase soon to be number 3 =]

  • @Thephiphi I think you're right, but still I think it is amazing that even though Nadal isn't a doubles player, he still managed to win the indian wells doubles in 2010 against nestor and zimonjic, that was impressive

  • @wingra10 Of course i said this over two years ago i think? Nadal has ramped up his serve and returns closer to the baseline now, i wouldn't say it would be impossible today to see Roger and Rafa beating top tier Doubles player such as the Bryan's. Of course i would still put the Bryan ahead of them if they played multiple matches, but i'm more incline to say that Rafa/Nadal could steal a couple from them here and there

  • @Thephiphi that is pretty much a known fact federer and nadal dont stand a chance against them

  • @XLRLimits Again, i reiterate the fact that when you have two players as talented as nadal and federer on a court, champions that they are, you can never count them out, the raw facts tell us that the bryans are the safe pick, history teaches us that champions can and will find a way, its definitely a win-able match for fed and nadal if it were to ever happen.

  • @Thephiphi Nadal is actually a good doubles player. he's won a bunch of doubles titles.

  • @joedragon88 He is a very accomplished doubles player.

  • The top singles players would probably beat the top doubles players if they really wanted to go far in a tournament. The Fedrinka team is a good example.

  • Yeah, but its not because they're 2 amazing singles players, its because they've trained together for years, and trained SPECIFIALLY for doubles play, which is completely different.

  • yeh i actully think some of the top doubles players would make the transition easier to singles. fed and warinka were so good because fed has an all court game. great serve, great return of serve and is very good at the net. alot of singles players are too one dimensional to make the transition. for instance i think bob n mike bryan would be good at singles. big serves good of the groundstrokes, great vollyiers and move well...

  • actually alot of the top players do play doubles, especially in slams. roddick, nadal and murray play often.

  • wrong they play singles only during gs gs jus takes too much time and focus on jus singles doing doubles would be overkill

perfect example are the williams sisters since they play doubles during the gs they hav to play everyday although its not as physical since womens game plays only 3 sets not 5

but the mens do play non gs double tornys but its kinda rare

  • by top players i mean guys inside the top 50. obviously guys ranked inside top ten would be concentrating on singles more in the slams. there are plenty of players inside the top 50 who play both. Monfils, Tsonga, stepanek, sam querry, john isner, tommy robredo, verdasco. alot of them do it just for practice to help prepare them for singles. if youre talking about tournes then i know hewitt and muray sometimes play together, roddick played doubles in queens this year.

  • one question, do u think federer and nadal playing doubles together can beat the bryan brothers?

  • yeah after a few months of practice

  • Federer & Wawrinka took out the Bryans at the Beijing Olympics on their way to the gold medal.

  • I could awear i just saw that question.

  • not a chance

  • It depends...

A good double team must have two guys who are complementary...But two good single players are not necessarily complementary.

  • sweeeeeeeeeeet!

  • amazing

  • I watch this sorta stuff for hours.

  • puro Calex

  • nice my coach put us on this 3yrs ago i'm glad to know we do stuff actual tour players are on:)

  • This drill is intended for volleys inside the service line to improve the quickness of your hands and feet moving laterally. They're playing it safe by moving along the service line which gives them more time to punch those volleys towards each other. It's much quicker and more realistic if they keep moving their feet inside the service line. Try it Bob and Mike.

  • thats amazing

  • See? I knew they were lucky to have won those grand slam titles...

    *walks away slowly*

  • Damnnnnnnn thats insaneeee

  • I'm jealous 8-)

  • shit that is so difficult

  • Amen. ):

I can't even do reflex volleys standing still

  • Comment removed

  • O:?

  • i can do that haha jokes. who's better out of the two?

  • I think Bob has a better serve and net game but Mike has the better ground strokes.

  • Nice one mate, i was just wondering. Must have been so annoying to be the one to mess that one up haha

  • holy crap..

  • awesome

  • How do they do that?

I wonder if Federer could do that...

Of course Federer wouldn't need to because he has a great serve and a forehand.

  • amazing !!

    too cool man !!!!

  • sick.

  • W O W

  • Great control.

    I love watching them play!

  • Yeah, my coach wanted to try this, but we can't do that.

  • Our coach tried to get us to do this drill, but then he realized we couldn't do it.

  • I wanted to do this drill but my coach realized I couldn´t do it... :p

  • Same here... that's why we only tried it once

  • My coach mentioned this video and I said (all pumped up like a kid): "Yeah, let´s do it!"

We´ve tried a couple of times and he said "Nah, better stick to the standard drill..." :-/

  • Comment removed

  • I would be happy with even a fraction of that kind of control.

  • and it makes you wonder how they lost at the olympics?

  • holy fucking crap.

  • they are the fenomenal

  • Brb, gotta change my pants.

  • Don't know about you guys, but I just jizzed in my pants.

  • AWESOME ...

  • that was pretty sick...but look at all the spare rackets on the side....like really do u need ALL of them?!

  • damn they volley faster than i hit lol.

  • To paranoidgoldfish: Don't even waste your time replying to those stupid comments left by people with nothing to do other than insulting tennis players that they can never beat. There are a lot of haters out there who simply have too much free time on their hand and likes to criticize just for the sake to criticize.

Btw: Doubles players get a lot of shit out there. They may not be as fun to watch, but they definitely require more skill to score.

  • holy shit they're awesome

  • OMFG so sick

  • i just came back to read the comments.

    LOL.

anyway, wish I could volley like that, they've got ridiculous control...
