  • It's amazing there is always at least one person who comments on the "facts" but always gets them incorrect. The USA was never defeated on Vietnamese turf. After TET, N. VN was ready to give it up...(they still admit that today). They had lost well beyond a million troops. However, politics and public displeasure here forced the withdrawal, and VN is very well aware that's what "won the war" for them. I served as a draftee....hated it, but did it. That's all I have to add.

  • You done know who they were, or where that sampan was, my guess was the delta, all kinds of excrement was smuggled down those rivers. You watched to many movies, and listen to much to John Kerry.

  • In the Delta if you didn't have oernit you were shot. It is because the NVA/VC sent 89% of war material down the Mekong and down the coastal waters in sampans. There were areas that were off limits that had no commercial interests but only war interests for the NVA.
