This is a gorgeous video for a beautiful song. It has so many memories for me. This song, and another by Justin Hayward (Forever Autumn) are songs that we identify with our daughter who died at age 16 on Sept 14, 2000.
I find it interesting that most Youtube videos of this song are accompanied by fantasy art. It's a little known fun-fact that this song is actually about going through withdrawals. (Pay close attention to the lyrics, and you'll see.) In fact, some of the greatest songs from that era appear to be about love on the surface, but are actually about drugs.
This song will always be way ahead of its time, no matter the year, such a beautiful song that i will never get tired of hearing, And the memories of that song will forever live.
For so many of us...before the days of music video we listened to the music the words the beat and in our minds we created the beauty of it all. It was no different than reading a book and expressing the opinion that the book was so much better than the movie. My comment is not a criticism of anyone ones opinion.
Artfully Done! Thanks for the excellent video presentation! Glad you included the "Breath Deep" part! I breath in the Holy Spirit as I have Listened to this Song over the years. John 20:21-22. Listened to it since 1972.
it's kinda interesting. i see all of these comments about ' this song reminds me of 1979, 1970whatever '. but i think the really amazing songs have an ability to transcend the specific era in which they were written and manage to make an impact on many lives in many different eras. that being said, this reminds me of my senior year of high school. 1997, my girlfriend and i taking her dad's car and sitting at the beach at night, knowing i was leaving soon and it would all fall apart.
Rev 20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
In 1973 when I was first dating my husband our first song was Mac Davis's Don't Get Hooked On Me. Then one day we were driving in his car and a song I had never heard before came on and it was Knights In White Satin and right then he said to me, "I heard this song today and I thought of you". I'll never forget that.
I own this CD but seeing this video together with the song was truly wonderful. This was me and my wife's "First Dance" tune at our wedding in 1988 and I just lost her to cancer yesterday. Thank you so much for posting this.
@52Mik Your wife lives on through the music my friend. May you find some peace in this song and may Gaia bless you. I will pray, as I'm sure many others will, for you and your lost one. We'll all be together again when the time comes.
@nibletxxx Thank you. I miss her so much I feel like I just want to die. But instead; I am going to try to fulfill her dreams for her. Does that make sense?
@52Mik very much so...i cant tell you i understand how that feels and i cant tell you anything about a after life..but,what i can tell you as all any of us know for sure is we are alive till we die....so even though i dont even know you i would say fight with everything you have to fulfill her dreams....also i want you to know typeing this has helped me i hope and some way it can help you.....
@nibletxxx Aye Aye Captain. I will and I am glad it helped you to talk with me about this. Yes it has helped me too though it is better to converse in person, when that is not possible, the good old internet is always there. Thank you and best wishes to ya!
@JSUSSSI Did you ever hear the Vince Gill song: "Look At Us?" That used to be our song in the 90's. It was true then and is now. Take a listen if you've never heard it.
@52Mik yes my friend played this for the anniversary dance at his wedding there were couples dancing ranging from being married 1 year to 50 years(grandparents) one of my fav country ballads.
@MrVoxC And neither are you. That happens to be one of my favorite songs of all time because it spoke to me and my beloved wife so as far as I'm concerned, you can go shove an oil rig up ur ass because she meant more to me than anyone on this planet~!!
Magnificently done!!! The sound quality, the full length version, how could anyone not include Justin Hayward's poem recital, Bravo!!! And a Spectacular job in arranging and coordinating the beautiful designed art you chose! Synchronized perfectly, to compliment this awesome classic <3 tysm
