@theanxiousone1 Where do you have blood in the stool? Mixed with it? Coating it? After the bowel movement? Is your stool changing in shape (diarrhea, small balls)? Or normally shaped?

Many things could cause rectal bleeding, and cancer is just one of them. Avoid self-diagnosis. If you're doctor isn't cooperative in doing extra examination, go to another one who would listen to you. I'm pretty certain you're fine, just check it out to assure yourself.

With a family history of cancer, find out what kind and what steps you can do to remain cancer free. You are not doomed in any sense of the word. Being aware is the first step to a good life and not exposing your body to dangers (smoking, etc) will keep you happy and feeling well.
