A similar-equipped '73 1110 was my stepmother's first SUV back in the day...With a mighty 392 four barrel under the hood, a heavy duty cooling system, two gas tanks, and featuring an optional top-of-the-line Reese tow package and wiring, these vehicles were designed for towing...and her's did it's fair share of that!
Oh yeah!!! I TOTALLY agree with you on that!!! I have a 1977 27 Ford E-350 RV with a 460 4 barrel that has dual 3 inch catback mufflers and cherry bombs on it that I put on, I tell you, I LOVE to pass little "Rice Burner" cars in that thing!! I'll tell you that a 460 or any American V8 engine with 3 inch mufflers and Cherry Bombs sounds WAY better than a "Jap Scrap" "Rice Burner" anytime!!!!
That Travelall sounds like it's ready for Dave's Farm!!! Does it have headers and or glasspacks on it? It sure sounds like it!!! I just bought a '75 Travelall with a 392 4 barrel and automatic, I'm putting dual 3 inch Flowmasters and a high performance cam on it, I'd like to get it so that it so that it puts out 120 to 130 db of sound at WOT, I just think that'd be so bitchin/!!!
