Tha Second renaissance is incredibly strong and the symbolism is almost never ending. I love it! :)
It tells us that, this isnt just a story.. It has happend. (tien anmen, vietcong, the million march ect.) and as history repeats itself, it will happen again.
I never understood why the machine exploded at the end of this segment. I mean, weren't they making a deal where the leaders of humanity agreed to give up humanity's freedom -and its flesh- in exchange for its survival?
@Xartaetos2007 They had no mercy anymore for the humans. That one nuke knocked out all the human leaders and pretty much their last bastion of old world power. It was simpler. Machine logic.
@Xartaetos2007 I always figured that once the leaders capitulated, there was no reason not to kill them. It would be riskier to leave them alive to continue forming a resistance secretly. I figured this was a trap.
@Xartaetos2007 I have always thought it was a "symbolic" picture of what happend when the human race capitulated to the machine and matrix world. When they surrender the machines took over in a flash.. or something like that.. :)
