If you mean the tunnel Antlion Guardian in HL2:e2, that one is invincible. :-(

It's actually really easy to kill an Antlion Guard with a crowbar.

Easier than WITH guns! All you need to do is get it to stop moving, then just circlestrafe it whilst pounding it.

Striders can only be damaged by explosives, but it would, theoretically, be possible to kill a Hunter with the crowbar. You'd need health pickups to survive that long though.

Awesome. I made a Crowbar challenge for myself using only the Crowbar from the first chapter up and couldn't proceed at Follow Freeman. Great fun, though I did have to cheat a bit at two sections to possibly go forth. :)

It's simple enough to do,even with no sprint. They have a very strict attack pattern that is easily exploited by the crowbar.

It's a very useful technique in mods like Obsidian Conflict, where there are tons of Antlion Guards.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one who can do it. I've been kicked from a server for "hax" from doing it on Gmod...D:

I don't know if you can conserve more health by using a ranged weapon, as opposed to losing 75 health and spending a few minutes to take it out.

It's good to use melee when you're out of expendable ammo, or trying to get better at it.
