Thanks for all the comments, these songs come from my heart, they are original compositions. My daughters grew up in the Native American Church my grsndkids have not had the opportunity. I leave them for them and for all who believe in the power of song as prayer. Thanks
Gracias
@hostilevibe321 ...lol, come one man...it's alright if you don't like his song (i personally don't like this style of singing...it sounds nothing like the true NAC songs from Oklahoma..old Comanche, Cheyenne, Kiowa style)...but come on man, have some respect...medicine teaches us to respect each other...even if you don't like it, these are still someone's prayers, gotta respect and understand people pray in different ways
We don't record ceremonies out of respect, and hopefully humility, it would be to distractive also. I recorded this in my bedroom, maybe for ego but hopefully mostly for posterity, something for my grandchildren hopefully they will keep the traditions.
@schee505 History, not the Native of Americas had peyote reliogn. Long before we have acquired the practice Meso-american natives solidified their base on peyote & corn (maise). Then us: loin-clothe running ppl have mastered alot through Spanish settlement. Horses, cows, & our beloved sheep. Silversmithing, rug-weaving, & language. Now: barely education.
thank you for posting this beautiful song to the elements and people ! Also I thank you very much for posting the words and their translations ! We would ask your permission to learn this song and to sing it for the people here in Colorado. My partner and I are doing our best to learn songs to teach our community here and our children! So with your permission would it be ok to sing this song to the public and to our community?
@aprendizflamenkito have a good ceremony, offer a prayer for my health please, and thank you in advance. No need to announce it just think of it, it will be appreciated.
@NUGSERONER we had 2 cd's but the mac went down not producing these at this time but try Samuel Arrieta [kalpullitlalteca@gmail.com] he may be willing to copy without the labels and case
@NUGSERONER well we were selling CDs but the mac went down. this computer does not record suitably. Some of the CD's do not play. I think Kalpulli tlalteca will reproduce them as a fund raiser. will check on it!
