First time I saw this game was when a friend played it for me over a livestream. The music and the laser show background in this stage blew me the fuck away. If I had had this game as a kid I'd probably have turned into an even bigger audiophile than I am now!
This game, the memories. Bonus stages were also interesting. A timed button press kind of game. I wonder why noone put video up of those. Those were pretty good as well. Though, the pizza one was the best, imo.
The game looks neat, but I don't understand why anyone likes the music. It's repetitive as all hell. At least when you get Katy, it's a little better, but not much.
@PopMusicKiller This game was developed by RED, not any of Sega's teams. Lead design on this game is credited to Keisuke Abe, previously the character designer for the Bonk series and Air Zonk. Not sure what he's worked on since. Tempo Jr. was developed by SIMS, a then-Sega-owned company often tasked with developing Sega's more minor games and ports. Not sure about Super Tempo.
Thanks a lot for your stupid 10 minute limits, YouTube! I also don't approve of 500 character limits, either.
And yeah, the American box art... What is it about box art and not being consistent with the games they represent? They did the same thing with the first 2 Megaman games, too, before they started getting it right!
JESUS CHRIST THE MEMORIIEEEESSS! my head is about to fry right now. i remember my brother bought me this game when i was little. i cant believe i still have this game. wow at the animation. even to todays standards it looks incredible and to this day i would never of thought he was a grasshopper of all things if my bro never told me
@CDProductions66 Kolibri was another awesome game on 32X. It was a good little system...or add-on system. I used to love Tempo. I'd be embarrassed as crap to play it with anyone around because the intro song was so corny, but it was a fun and really frustrating Sega game, :-)
I think 32x was the problem. Did you know that actually the 32x does not have real 3D support? Games that have 3d polygons use software rendering, which are nightmares for programmers.
Saturn does have real 3D support. If they had only used a less complex architecture for the Saturn, it would have been way more successful D=
The problem was that Sega didn't really know what kind of machine the Saturn should have been, so they made a system optimized for 2D. Bad move, especially since they were 3D pioneers in the arcade.
they should have put this on the Genesis or the Sega Saturn because since people wasn't into the 32X this haven't got any good sales but this is the best game ever!
shit...i played this trippin' on about 4 hits of acid back in the day... glad you have this up cause i'd of forgotten about it... i remember those ants dancin' in the backround and seeing them on my wall..
do you suppose I could find this game on either PSN or XBOX marketplace?

That box art is the epitome of "American Kirby is Angry."
I love how on the spine, they just copied and pasted the logo without removing the cloud background, too.

According to what I have read Tempo's sound engine is "SMPS Z80/mod"
Does anyone know if this game's sound could run on a stock Genesis?
