This is a very unusual guitar that it has a shell in the back to in case the guitar there fore keeping the actual back of the guitar from coming in contact with the body.
ho sentito Alirio Diaz che la suonava nel 1979 e questo ragazzo non è molto distante da quelle performance!!!!!!!!! Forza Flavio da oggi hai un fan in più:
very nice playing! I really like the sound of your guitar, because it practicly sounds like mine... hehe... who's the luthier? And what's with the extra wood on the sides? Is it for letting the soundboard vibrate more? Also: what version of the piece do you use? Because I know there's no manuscript anymore... the only reliable source we have seems to be the segovia-recording...
The brace on the lower bout is an arm rest. I'm guessing the brace on the upper bout is a "face rest," ha, ha, since his face gets very close to the upper bout when he plays!
Actually, it is the guitar shield that shields around the back to the upper and lower bouts of the guitar to prevent body damping and sweat. Check out Flavio Sala's website for the guitar luthier's guitar models and construction. You'll be very amazed!

segun tengo entendido eso sirve para no tapar la el sonido de la guitarra.y permite mas sonoridad y claridad.
