would cyclocross tires be appropriate for road/sidewalk riding? I have a cheap hybrid but I'm willing to sacrifice some speed for better all-weather/terrain handling.
@ctrlaltdlt01 I believe there are more appropriate choices. The profile of cyclocross tires, typically, are meant to help you gain traction in loose surface conditions, while your typical city/road tire is meant to help drive water out from under the tire itself. The cyclocross will also work in that respect, but if you're not planning on going offroad, I think there's a happy median you can find between CX and slicks.
