@nickphxfan Its a shame that this mainly propeller driven quasi steamboat will be returning to the river when the authentic historic Delta Queen is not. I say scrap the American Queen and use the money to return the Delta Queen to the rivers. To the Great American Steamboat Company...had you bought the Delta Queen...I'd have booked a Cincinatti to New Orleans Cruise already. Instead, I'm using my money to cross the Atlantic on the RMS Queen Mary 2.

Save the Delta Queen! These "modern" stemboats just don't do it for me.

@baritonebynight i agree! up in here in Michigan we aren't lucky to enough to have a 'real' paddle steamer. know what we have? the Detroit Princess and she's nothing special. a typical sad case of a beautiful paddle steamer being 'up graded'. they ripped off her paddle, ripped out her state rooms, and gave her diesel engines. it's quite disturbing actually, she should've been kept the way she was. :(
