  • 40 seconds wasted, how to get them back?

  • in any rock band or guitar hero the strum limit is infinite but if you game don't crash

  • SOULLESS 2 :D

  • the song name:soulles 2 and guitarherophenom fc'd this not the strum no the notes

  • @ABCDEFG6650 nobody fc'd it, idiot.

  • no, there is no strum limit to any RB game. but the HOPO's back end timing window is smaller

  • @ThreadyCash2274 The only Rock Band game that doesn't have a strum limit is RB3. GH1, GH2, GH80s, RB1, RB2, TB:RB, LRB, and GD:RB all have a strum limit. Neversoft, when they remade the engine, were able to do it without a strum limit (the strum limit now is 60 NPS because you can only do one action per frame), but Harmonix were never able to figure it out until RB3.

I'm not going to argue on the HOPO issue, though, you're dead straight on that one.

  • needs more cow bell

  • um need a new escuse ummmm...... o my guitar is broken that works

  • lol @ <3 xD

Also, how you didn't get gold stars after 100% note hit is beyond me,

  • @AriochStarr Gold stars are unattainable without overdrive or a solo section. In RB3, just unattainable without overdrive, as solo sections are factored into the gold star cutoff.

  • Nicely played dude.

  • what is loser, he couldn't get the golden stars.

  • Answer: No.

  • no point in this video..

  • To be honest, there IS a strum limit, but not in the way most people think. The game itself has no strum limit, as you have just demonstrated, but each song only allows you to strum as fast as the fastest strummy segment in the song. Any faster results in a miss. There IS indeed the ability to FC any song, but strum just a BIT too fast, and BAM. Combo gone. It varies per song, like say Holiday in Cambodia's would be much lower than Aesthetics of Hate. It still exists though.

  • Might need to alt strum that.

  • there still is a strum limit

  • Danny was playing.

  • Chuck norris do this 5 GS without overdrive

  • To be fair, some commenters are right. Any strum limit is based on input to the game, of course autoplay can nail anything. Unless that's an external bot. I proved years ago with GH2 that autoplay could FC Trogdor on an NTSC disc.

  • how many nps is that! :O

  • You'd have to be Danny to strum anywhere near that fast in the first place...

  • what does strum limit means?

  • @COD2king The concept is that once you strum a certain speed, if you go any faster, it will not be detected.

  • 100%? No 5G*

  • I would call it the Starlight Breaker but it's yellow.

  • @TheSynth06 i only used my flacid penis.

  • chuck norris knows how much notes are in this chart...he counted them...

  • How many notes was that lol

  • Pikachu, use thunderbolt!

  • omg you got your first 3 stars pretty fast...

  • Wow no gold stars? Yu suck newb uninstall.

    :P

  • I like the part when he hit yellow :)

  • That looks like it would be difficult to play without looking

  • FUK U HITLER!

  • nice, stolen video.

  • hes technical Fc'd soulless to he hasnt fully FC'd

  • The strum limit is in the RB guitars, not the game itself. It's because of the sensor they used.

  • soulless 2 lol not very well charted is it?

  • I like the part with the yellow notes.

  • the strum limit is based on the use of the guitar. you are just using autoplay in audition mode which will hit every note regardless of the strum limit. but it was still amusing to see

  • @andydrew500 Lawlzzzzzz :)

  • @IAreTehLawlzorz yep laugh at your pathetic fuck up self

  • @andydrew500 <3

  • @IAreTehLawlzorz successful troll is successful. :-)

  • @IAreTehLawlzorz You showed me how to deal with trolls xD Just give them love then they will get more angrier wich is more funnier

  • @andydrew500 do you have the la tourette problems or what?

  • @andydrew500 u mad?

  • @stalingrenhatten what are you gay? what kind of fuckface askes if someone is mad. go fuck a tree.

  • @andydrew500 well its ovbious i was correct. N00b

  • @stalingrenhatten you must not get out alot. you must be one of those lttile kids who fucking plays video games all day. i mean did you really call me a noob? also. i was not mad when i said what i said. Iaretehlawlzorz was being a dick to someone who actually has a life as a music producer telling him something that you can read (if you can read at all) below in the comments. then you will understand why i was pissed at this sick twisted fuck who thinks hes hot shit.

  • @andydrew500well thats a cool story bro, yeah ur just mad hahah n00b lulz fail. You've been toolled, You've been trolled have a nice day.

  • @stalingrenhatten yeah it is a coll fucking story. and dont call me bro fuckhead. what are you the dumbest peice of shit? i aint your bro nor will i ever will be. plus trolled is spelt with an r inbtween the t and o. once again bringing me back to my previous comment that you cant read even what you wrote. i also think its funny that you enjoy being a troll. it just shows how you beg for attention on youtube. any further response will just prove my previous statement valid.

  • @andydrew500 cool*

  • @andydrew500 i love how u just keep responding, makes my day really.

  • @andydrew500 grow up man haha :)

  • @andydrew500 THERE'S A WHOLE LOT OF FUCKIN' GOING ON IN THAT SENTENCE.

  • If memory serves from when Zak123 posted his video of this, this custom is 128th notes at 240BPM, which would plonk it at a round 64 notes per second.

Now, the thing about Audition mode is that, nomatter how crazy the notes are, no matter how fast the song is, it will FC it. Someone could make a custom with 128ths at 999BPM (a mental 266.4NPS) and it would still 100% it. The strum limit in Rock Band 2 is the speed it can register notes from an actual guitar. Your video proves nothing.

  • @Netherchild hey, where did you get your life? wait i dont think you have one..

  • @IAreTehLawlzorz My life's pretty sweet actually. I'm a musician and a games programmer, that's how I know about this kind of stuff.

  • @Netherchild thats cute

  • Of course, this does in fact prove nothing.

  • what is this like 500 nps?

    form 0:10 - 0:11 0x to 4x lol

  • what is this like 500 nps?

  • my hand will fall off if i had to strum that o_o

  • Undercharted ^.^

  • no gold o_O

  • how did u get that?

  • What was the point of that

  • 450k in less than 45 seconds @______@

  • Its a bot of course its not gonna miss

  • @Sentenious they have before can show you the link to video where it does

  • GOD THIS VIDEO IS SO FUCKING STUPID HOLY SHIT.

  • HOLY EFFIN CRAP!!!!!!!!!!

  • What is the song on this called?

  • @ShadowDevil2009 Mechanical Machine (Soulless 2) by ExileLord

  • @JosJuiceZ138 Thanks a lot.

  • chuck norris

  • this is dumb many good RB/GH players can strum say 20nps really consistant and yet cant do fast stuff on rb

  • I Do Think So.

  • I'd like to see overdrive being used... or an 8x overdrive multiplier from the other 3 instruments and see how fast the score goes up. XD It goes up pretty damn fast as-is lol

  • Software limitations, no. But there are probably hardware limitations. Even if, theoretically, someone could strum that fast, I doubt the guitar would pick all of that up. So there sort of is a strum limit, it's just inherent in the hardware, not the software.

  • Oh for god sake...

  • wtf

  • There is a strum limit for the American version of Rockband, but, since that was autoplay, of course it was FC'd

  • how many notes r there

  • Can you like send me any customs you make my xbl gt is ii FINGERZz ii just add me nd ill send you my email toget the song

  • holy thit

  • wow you guys know danny already FCed this...

  • WHAT THE FUCK.

  • scoregasam

  • How did you not get an error with overlapping notes when you compiled this!?!?!

  • its like the drums, its not the game that has the limit. its just the drum setup that cant hit notes too fast

  • NOW MAKE IT FASTER!!! >:D

  • to put it simply, strumming at that speed WOULD require a robot, the precision requied to play at that speed is impossible for a human because it needs perfection, and humans can't achieve perfection, so for all practical purposes, there is one, not to mention the ~40ms of dead space between strums for overstrum protection which send the timing window for the next note EXTREMELY small as wondows don't overlap. also remember that humans VERY SLIGHTLY fluctuate speed, ruining perfect precision.

  • ROFL.

Translation: it is too fast. =p

  • Einstein has a Youtube account? :D

  • @shadowforc30 lol, well that wasn't really too complicated

  • there is a strum limit :S but on the guitar not on autoplay

  • @berzzerker

No the GGAHT WOULD be Inpossible Duh!

  • O_O'

  • not human

  • holly crap !

  • its like cheese being cut off!

  • lol

  • can u make it so its a 5=note chord =D

  • danny already Fc´d this!!! lol

  • @JStyla13 Chuck Norris fc'ed this with his tongue O.O

  • Thats a huge-ass piss.

  • autoplay has to hit all the notes lulz

  • LOLWUT!?!?!?! It's the yellow line of death!!!!

  • There is still a strumming limit, since this is autoplay, every note is automatically hit.

  • Danny already FC'd this!

  • i would laugh if some could actually strum that fast. thats like thrasher 10x fast!

  • This video was played by UKOGmonkey

  • this is def my video stupid

  • Im just joking around and saying UKOG played this isnce his hands are amazing good at sturmming fast, even the RB limit he has no problems with.

  • oh haha ok

  • UKOG doesnt have a problem with it because he has a PAL system its somthing in every xbox in the uk taking away the strum limit or at least lowering it by 3 notes per second

  • yea and strike even bought one here in the US, lol

  • @IAreTehLawlzorz This video is worthless. Your life amounts to nothing.

  • i see what you did there

  • This doesn't prove anything...

There are two ways to trick the strum limit, by either strumming @ 15 NPS and starting early/ending late, OR strumming perfectly on time.

The bot strums perfectly on time, always. That's why this was FCed.

What the limit really means and what most people don't understand is that at 16NPS the normal timing window for the note is no longer applied.

If there's a stream of notes at, say, 14NPS, you can strum a bit faster and you can see yourself hitting notes early.

  • And when you're hitting notes early, you can see that there will be a gap formed between the notes and the strike line.

If the stream of notes was 16NPS or higher, you can't create this gap anymore -- you must strum perfectly on time or @ 15NPS, starting early/ending late.

What's actually really hard is staying 95% on beat @ 16 NPS. Our hands just can't do that. UKOGmonkey's can.

  • ukog has a pal system

  • 59nps right?

  • lol idk

  • @chronicle15 dude i can do that without even trying. this is more like 300 haha

  • lul what?

  • lawl
