Heyyyyyy... was that whole exchange between bugs and that old man supposed to mean how women stereotypically proposed marriage in the 40s? I feel subliminally offended...
I love the expressions on Bug's face, he really is funniest when he has an extreme startled expression on his face, like in jHair-Raising Hare or Falling Hare.
I almost died of fear when I watched this cartoon when I was little. I went to my friends house to watch cartoons and I only hoped we won't run into this one.
When that guy transformed, I almost jumped out of my skin!
At the time this was released in August 1955, Liberace was a VERY successful pianist on his syndicated TV show (ALWAYS used a candlelabra on top of his piano)- his brother George [a violinist] was his conductor, and Liberace often kidded about their relationship. Liberace was also about to appear in his first [and only] feature film for Warner Bros., "Sincerely Yours".
The line "You...are a mental case!" is what Ralph Kramden often told Ed Norton in the "live" episodes of "The Honeymooners".
@Erilis666 actually the accent is pronounced " MY NOOT WALTZ BY CHOPPIN" Bugs Bunny's accent is a combination of the bronx and brooklyn and that is the PROPER representation of Bugs' speech.
@puertoricangirl89 There was a piano player by the name of Liberace and he had a brother named George who was a band leader and every time he played piano he would say that

Hyde kinda looks like Conrad Veidt from the lost version "Der Januskopf". With the fluffy hair, and long fingers.
