My daddy joined the Air Force right out of high school and when he would have to be deployed he was away from my family for periods at a time. My papaw was in the marines. I have 2 cousins that are currently in the Army. I have lots of friends that are in one branch or the other. They are away from their families a lot doing their jobs so that we can have things that we take for granted all the time.

My son is in Iraq as I type this. He is there because he believes in what his parents have taught him. Freedom, liberty, and God are worth fighting for. I have put my boots in the sand once. While I was over there, the unit I was with did nothing that most of these people are claiming. Back during Vietnam, it was a different era. My daddy joined the Air Force right out of high school and when he would have to be deployed he was away from my family for periods at a time. My papaw was in the marines. I have 2 cousins that are currently in the Army. I have lots of friends that are in one branch or the other. They are away from their families a lot doing their jobs so that we can have things that we take for granted all the time.

I have put my boots in the sand once. While I was over there, the unit I was with did nothing that most of these people are claiming. Back during Vietnam, it was a different era.
