@amwin67 Absolutely It is many times the reason people seek therapy. If you don't have a consistent model of secure attachment then as adults you will most likely have challenges w/ relationships, intimate, work relationships, and friendships. When the primary caregiver is not consistently available for the infant/child,he/she may likely grow up as an insecure adult. A adult who may not be able to commit to a relationship because of fear of rejection just as when he/ she felt as a child.
