  • When is a new Ps3 headset coming out? please reply

  • @CPMike453 The XP300 and XP400 both work great with PS3. They'll be available this Spring.

  • Tell me the price and I'm not going anywhere else to check

  • Under $100?

  • @dannyhomerdude Please check our web site for prices.

  • I feel kind of ripped off, I just bought the XP500's 2 months ago and really enjoy them. Then I heard you are releasing these new headsets with dual-band wifi and I just had my stomach drop. If you could somehow release a adapter similar to the DSS for dual-band wifi I will love you guys.

  • @danielfruity You don't need the dual-band WiFi radio if your XP500 is working fine. The XP500 has a lot more features than the XP300/400, so it's a better headset.

  • @TurtleBeachVideos Thanks, you relieved a lot of my worries then. I love this headset by the way, it's epic.

  • @danielfruity I'm glad you like it. The XP500 is the best headset we make. It has a TON of technology and sounds great.

  • @danielfruity I'm glad you like it. The XP500 is the best headset we make. It has a TON of technology and sounds great.

  • @danielfruity I'm glad you like it. The XP500 is the best headset we make. It has a TON of technology and sounds great.

  • So which is the best headset you offer right now?

  • Wat was the point of making the XP300 ? Its basically the x42 but with Wireless chat and no sorround sound

  • @angel9827 The XP300 is an XP32 with a rechargeable battery, wireless XBOX Chat and a better headset.

  • can you use av audio cables because i have a capture card that only has av audio inputs.

  • @990123fmily On the XP300, yes, XP400 no.

  • when do they come out

  • @goldkill10 This spring.

  • @CITYxOFxSINS. Thanks 4 the advice i think i mite get them.. ;-)

  • i am looking to spend around 150-170 dollars, should i get the x42 or the xp 300? whats better? why?

  • @TheEpicElectricsz I'd get the X42. It's surround sound. The XP300 is stereo.

  • Prices?

  • @kullprit Check our site for information on pricing and where to buy.

  • Amazon.com has a release date of March 20th for these headsets. Is this true, and if it is will retail stores like Best Buy have them on this date too?

  • @CITYxOFxSINS It is not a release date. They have to have some sort of a date, so they put in their best guess. Watch our Facebook page. We announce everything there as soon as we have firm information.

  • @TurtleBeachVideos I personally hope they come out around that time and no later. I know people are very impatient these days and the new wireless Tritton warheads are dropping April 1st,and from what i hear alot of kids are liking the shiny look of those things. Me personally will go with the 5.8 mix amp seeing that i already have the A40's if the 400's take too long to come out.

  • @TurtleBeachVideos. Im looking for a headset for my xbox. Im not really looking for anything too expensive but good quality. Any suggestions???

  • @gcasey141 X12.

  • @gcasey141 I had the Tb x12 and they are great for the price you want. Sound quality and build are solid.

  • @TurtleBeachVideos I need a headset I can use for both the Xbox 360 AND the PC. I'd like to leave the optical receiver connected to the Xbox, while being able to use the Bluetooth to game and chat on my laptop. That way I don't have to go hooking and unhooking cables when I want to change activities. I don't care if the Bluetooth doesn't support Dolby digital on the PC, I just need to be able to hear the game I'm playing and talk to people on Skype. Can the XP400s do this? If not, suggestions?

  • @KillshotJon The XP400 doesn't have an A2DP Bluetooth, which means it's mono, not stereo, and won't support game sound. The XP500 will do what you're looking for though.

  • XP500 vs XP400... XP400 wins hands down because of dual band wifi, that is going to make the BIGGEST difference!!

  • @scottcooley84 That's exactly how i feel. That is the most important addition to the XP400 headsets. Just because the PX5 and the XP500s have all these extra options don't mean anything, especially when they still run on the 2.4GHz frequency. That alone ruins everything those headsets could've been. I definitely would'nt pay almost $300 for headsets that still run on that frequency.

  • so is my ear force delta better then when its just a xp500 with a makeover? or are these better

  • @ALonelyNeckTie The Delta and XP500 are still our top models. You can think of the XP300 and XP400 as little siblings to the XP500.

  • Another question, I just realized i have a dual band router and my XBOX360 runs on 5GHz while everything else in my house is running a 2.4GHz frequency. Can you explain how the XP400s will work around that? Also, how come you guys didn't just use the 5.8GHz frequency that is known to work so well like some other wireless headsets have?

  • @CITYxOFxSINS The 360 S only supports the 2.4Ghz band for 802.11n. If you are using the black, dual antenna wireless adapter from Microsoft, then that supports 802.11n on both 2.4ghz and 5.8ghz. The XP400 uses 5.2ghz because it is a global standard and should not conflict with typical wireless n 5ghz traffic.

It will work just fine in your home.

  • @TurtleBeachVideos You better be incorrect on this. To the best of my knowledge the slim should support the 5ghz N channel. My wifi adapter N for my old elite is compatable with the 5 ghz and Microsoft is going to lose me as a customer forever If I find out you are correct about this. Also have you improved your cords yet, I refuse to buy another wired turtle beach product because your cords have a mind of their own and get tangled so much it is a HUGE PROBLEM. I will be picking up the XP500 :)

  • @Delow317XBL The built in adapter in the 360 slim is 2.4ghz. To use the 5ghz band you would need to get Microsoft's external dual band WiFi adapter.

  • @TurtleBeachVideos Thanks for the quick reply. I'm very saddened to hear that. Why one earth would MS not enable dual band frequences with the built in wifi on the slim when the old wifi N adapters used on the old slims do this? Anyhow I know this isn't anyone's problem at Turtle Beach, but I do appreciate the reply, thank you.

  • @TurtleBeachVideos Sounds great,thanks!

  • Thanks for the quick response. Personally i feel the most important things about this headset is they are wireless and have the new frequency. I really don't care for the presets and surround sound angles, i won't be using them anyway. I feel the main sound performance and solid wireless connections are the things that make a good headset. I don't want to have popping like i did with the x41s. I want a clean connection, and i can't wait to try them out.

  • Is the PX5 still considered the flagship wireless model for PS3 and the XP400 is more of a "younger sibling"? Spec-wise, is the PX5 superior to the XP400? I also noticed that the XP400 does not have a stand for the headphones. I loved that about the PX5 and how it was integrated into the transmitter.

  • @mistersir22COD Yes, the PX5 is still the top PS3 headset. The PX5 has voice prompts, a Bluetooth radio that lets you dual pair to your phone as well as stream music, and is fully programmable via the use of presets. The XP400 does not have voice prompts nor access to presets, and its Bluetooth cannot stream music from another Bluetooth device. It does have an adjustable mic monitor control, rechargeable battery, dual band WiFi, and adjustable Surround Sound Angles.

  • Also i would like to know how the 2.4/5ghz of these headsets stand up to the astros 5.8ghz frequency. i love my astros and the sound is great, but i need complete wireless. That 2.4 frequency is what made me return the tb x41s in for the astros in the first place.

  • @CITYxOFxSINS The headset selects the optimum frequency in both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, so you have two spectrums to work with.

  • do the XP400s sound like the PX5s and the XP500s?

  • @CITYxOFxSINS The XP400s are a little more customizable with the addition of Surround Sound Angles.

  • is xp300 better than px3 for console gamer?

  • @d3athstrok3JJ It's better if you want wireless chat. The PX3 is programmable, so it's better in that regard. They both sound great, but the PX3 has presets and the XP500 has wireless chat.

  • @TurtleBeachVideos Thanks for the help I will hopefully buy them within the next month or so for xbox YouTube and music

  • @TurtleBeachVideos so if I was at home not on my xbox I could use them with my iPad also turtle beaches easily out do astro's and tritons ;D

  • @SammyIsLikeAwesome You would have to connect your iPad to the XP400's transmitter. So if all you want to do is listen to music around the house, then that should be fine.

  • @TurtleBeachVideos Can you use the xp400 on and iPad or iPod out and about or can you not?

  • @SammyIsLikeAwesome You cannot stream music over Bluetooth with the XP300 and XP400. So no, not out and about, but you can connect your iPod to the headset's transmitter and listen to music that way.

  • Will these be released before April?

  • @HedgeHodge98 'Spring' is the best answer we can provide.

  • Which headset should i get? xp300 or px3?

  • @DaPnoiJason If you're looking for PC compatibility along with the ability to use presets, then go with the PX3. If you are purely a console gamer, then the XP300 is a great choice.

  • Is there quality difference between the xp500 and xp400 as far as sound goes? And is it worth getting the xp500 oover xp400? Thank you. :D

  • @Sunnydudebob The XP400 provides more custom options with the addition of Surround Sound Angles. However, the XP500 is still king with all its included features: Bluetooth for chat as well as streaming music, voice prompts, voice morphing, and fully customizable presets!

  • are the x32's compatible with the dss2 while still being wireless

  • @imt0ogoodforyou Yes, the DSS2 sits between the console and transmitter, so the headset is still wireless.

  • I want to get the XP400 eventually.

I have the oldschool white XBox 360, no slim, the regular 360 is what I have.

    Will it work for it?

Because I heard some guy say about the XP500 that you need the slim if you want it to work and you need to buy an adapter for the regular 360

  • @Soldier1287 The XP400 requires a digital output. Many current Xbox component cables have a digital output port built in. If yours doesn't have one, you can purchase a newer version that should have the port.

  • Do you know the date of when these come out because i was thinking about buying the X41 but since these cost 10 bucks more i might purchase these

  • @reed215 Spring.

  • Wats the difference between the two

  • @808SuperMonkey The XP300 is a stereo headset, while the XP400 is a surround sound headset that includes adjustable surround sound angle settings and Blast Limiter.

  • @TurtleBeachVideos what makes xp500 better than xp400?

  • @pringle2333 Stereo Bluetooth, Programmable, Voice Prompts, transmitter can be used as a Headset Stand.

  • wait can u use the xp300 work on psn chat too ?

  • @marciii411 Yes, via the Bluetooth radio.

  • Umm i have big ears the tritton ax720 fit my ears just fine and you guys turtle beach x11 fit them perfectly is the ear padding on these the same as the xp500 because the xp500 hurt my right ear or have they gotten bigger in anyway???? .

  • @theeOnslaught The XP400 has a very similar design to the XP500.

  • does the ep 400 have the dolby 7.1 surround sound????

  • @dirtbiker70 We have transitioned to 5.1 as no games currently use 7.1.

Additionally, the surround sound processing is better in the XP400 and features variable speaker angles.

  • Will the chat work on the next generation if consoles

  • @Moose555510 Neither Sony or Microsoft have announced any new consoles. There's no way for us to know whether a product we make now will be compatible with a product that doesn't exist yet.

  • Are the xp400 programable like the xp500?

  • @kalliomax8 No.

  • I'm really liking the XP300's, because of the wireless Xbox 360 chat and rechargeable battery. When are they released?

  • @MrTjcharlier Late February.

  • i have the turtlebeach delta, are the xp300/400/500 any better than them?

  • @redogsal Delta is the best headset we make.

  • these are amazing!! when are you guys making the review video? and when do they come out???

  • Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. I have more though lol, Can you elaborate more on the difference in sound quality that you will receive between the X42's and the the XP 300. You replied to another poster saying that the 42's had surround sound and the 300's didn't, (or something to that effect), I'm trying to read through the post and not ask questions that you've already answered, but its more tricky than trying to rock a rhyme thats right on time you know? lol.

  • @smooch357 The XP300 is stereo, The XP400 and X42 are surround sound. The main difference is that the XP300/400 have BT wireless chat and a rechargeable battery. The X41 is Dolby surround but uses a chat cable and AAA batteries. The sound on all three is the same, in terms of sound quality.

  • @TurtleBeachVideos Okay, I think I understand now. So since the 300's don't have surround sound, does that mean that I won't be to hear stuff from all around me when I'm playing (like what direction footsteps are coming from, sounds behind me, above, below, off in the distance ect...)? Or will the 300's virtually do this for me like Dolby prologic does (I think)? If they do, in your opinion is there much of a difference in "surround sound quality" between say the 300's and the 400's/42's?

  • @smooch357 You'll hear sounds on the left and right, but not in front or behind. That's what the XP400 does. If you get an XP300 you can get a DSS2 later on and turn it into an XP400.

  • should i buy the PX21 or the XP300/400? i want to play MW3 like a boss with these :D:D

  • @KruemelIVIonster It depends on whether or not you want wired or wireless. The XP300/400 are definitely better headsets than the PX21.

  • @TurtleBeachVideos i don't care about that, i just don't want to waste 120€ (i live in germany) i could also buy for may 130€ the PX300/400 and these are much better^^

is it worth to buy the px21?

  • Also, will these work with the console apps like netflix and hulu when you watch them on you ps3 or 360? will you still be able to get surround sound while viewing?

  • @smooch357 The headset will play whatever sound comes out of the console. So if you can hear it on speakers, you can hear it on the headset.

  • With the XP 300 and 400, there is some kind of adapter that you connect to your xbox 360 controller that lest you get wireless chat, is there a way to get this adapter to work with the X42's? Like can you buy it separately for the 42's and use it?

  • @smooch357 The XBA adapter won't work with the X42 because you need Bluetooth in the headset.

  • @TurtleBeachVideos I live in the uk can I get the headsets direct from your website to the uk? Thanks

  • @dill2011 No, we do not ship internationally. Click on "where to buy" in the top menu of our website for a list of UK retailers.

  • If I bought x41 and I wanted to upgrade what kind of return policy do you guys offer

  • @KrKrazyklutch We don't offer a trade-in or upgrade policy.

  • is there a release date for the XP300?

  • @mrjomammas Spring.

  • How would the xp500 be better?

  • @marthastewart95 It's programmable, has a secondary output so you can attach any wired stereo headphones to the transmitter and listen in surround sound and it has a stereo Bluetooth so you can stream music wirelessly to it.

  • How many audiochannels do the XP400 have, is it 7.1?

  • @Arcaidle 5.1

  • Witch would be better the xp500 or the xp400 or xp300

  • @marthastewart95 XP500

  • @TurtleBeachVideos why is the XP400 better than XP300

  • Oh, I got the Px5's i think this will last me till there are some more major updates. i think the headsets could be a little slimmer though...

  • Are you guys at Turtle Beach doing a DSS2 video?

  • @nrolln98 Yes, we're workging on it.

  • Which has better surround sound? DSS + XP300, or x42? Since the x42 is made to use surround sound, will it have better surround sound?

  • @NickyDells573 The surround sound processing in an X42 is the same as the DSS, so adding a DSS to an X42 isn't going to do anything. You're better off with either an X42 or and XP400. An XP300 + DSS will cost more than an XP400, which has the same surround sound as a DSS.

  • @TurtleBeachVideos how much deeper are the ear cups on the x42 than the x41?

  • @NickyDells573 Not much.

  • Not sure if this is the right section but I have a ? about the x32 / x42. When putting these on your head are they the same size as the x31 / x42 or are they bigger? I ask because my x31s are just a little small. Not the ear muffs but the actual headset. Ideally i would like for it to extend a little wider. Txs in advance.

  • @SLEEPYJAY1974 The X32 is bigger than an X31 because it has bigger speakers (50mm vs 40mm). The X41 and X42 are the same size.

  • Out of all the headsets that you are releasing in this lineup, which have the deepest ear cushions? In the pictures it looks like the x42 but im not sure

  • @imt0ogoodforyou All of the new headsets use the same ear cushions, which are pretty deep.

  • Are the ear cups the same size with the xp300 and the ear force bravo? Or is one bigger than the other?

  • @NickyDells573 XP300 has larger earcups.

  • Can you tell me when about in this spring?

  • @ImBackinUpBackinUp No. There isn't a date. We aren't hiding it, there just isn't one. So I can't tell you.

  • does anything need batterys or its usb charger???

  • @DarkBlazeX47 They charge over USB.

  • i have three things to ask 1 is the xp 300 and 400 are like the px 3 like they have a sort of box thing that the head set is wirelessly connected to right? and 2 what is the difference between the dss and the dss 2 and finally how much will the xp 400 cost cause it looks amazing

  • @DarkBlazeX47 1) Yes. 2) The DSS2 has better surround sound, full EQ, multiple surround sound speaker angles, lets you mix in your own music and costs less. 3) MSRP is $219.95.

  • @TurtleBeachVideos Is the x32 bigger (extensions for bigger heads) than the x12?

  • @NickyDells573 It's a bit larger.

  • @TurtleBeachVideos Is the x42 more comfortable on your ears than the x41 because my ears were a little uncomfortable in the x41's

  • @NickyDells573 The cushions are a bit deeper, but they are still round.

  • Do the x42's have depper ear cups than the x41's? Maybe cause they have a different material on the speaker inside? or not? I wanted to know because the material on the inside of the ear cup was right against my ear and didn't feel good.

  • @NickyDells573 They are a bit deeper.

  • very cool but i'll be getting the 500s in a wk can't wait to get them

  • will the XP300 be compatible with the Ear Forces DSS and DSS2?

  • @VCamilo Yes.

  • @VCamilo same idea I had. I was thinking about getting the x42, but I already have the DSS so I am prob gonna get the xp300. I still love the look of the x42 though. Which headset do you think you are going to get?

  • @NickyDells573 I already have the P11 but after seeing the XP400 and the XP300 I'm thinking about getting the XP300 but before I buy it I want to get the DSS 1st

  • and do u know if ur bring new presets to the table and when they will be relesed and if there will be improvements to the manager how menny diffrent angles can u here the sround sound in the 400 and is the new feturers u have up ur sleve four the 400 and the 300

  • @kizzza23 These headsets do not have presets and are not programmable. We're always working on new presets. No info about the tool.

  • thank u I don't realy understand the diffrence because I am english I know were ur coming from just like to say I'm a big fan of the new range of tec u have

  • @kizzza23 The main difference is that XP300 is stereo and XP400 is surround sound. Thanks for stopping by and for your support!

  • is the xp500 worth to get because the px5 are just the same but it don't have a adapter for the xbox live controler

  • @kizzza23 If you play on XBOX and want wireless chat, the XP500 is $10 less than buying the PX5 with a separate XBA. If you play on PS3, then you should get the PX5.

  • Actually the PX5's depending where you buy them from will cost you around $225 to 250 without the xba adapter which is an additional $30. The XP500's are around $269 and comes with the xba adapter bundled together. Personally I would wait for the XP400's because they are cheaper and better headset with more features.

  • @cedrichenderson24 how do they have more features.no chat adaptor, presets etc?

  • @kizzza23 i say yes because of that,no crazy adaptor interferance etc but if u have the px5 i wouldn't get the xp500 just get the adaptor online

  • how much will these be going for?

  • @Biofuze Please check our website.

  • Which is better px3 or xp300

  • @Theyellowflash6 Each is better for a different reason. The XP300 has Bluetooth, so you get wireless XBOX chat, but the PX3 is programmable. It depends on which feature you like better.

  • Are the XP400's 5.1 or 7.1 Dolby Digital?

  • @Tomahawkinq 5.1

  • @Tomahawkinq They're Dolby Digital 5.1 with variable speaker angles.

  • what are ur thoughts shall i wait till these come out the 400s or shall i buy the px5 i want to have the best gaming exspirince dose the 400 have presets or not and witch one do u think is better

  • @kizzza23 The PX5 is better. The XP400 does not have presets.

  • What does it mean by: No Wi-Fi interference?

  • @iWarrior17 It means that your Xbox, wireless router, PS3, cell phone, etc. won't cause interference with the wireless audio.

  • Whats mic monitoring???

  • @LBigJake14 It lets you hear what you're saying so you won't scream while wearing the headset.

  • I love the camera zoom...

  • Come to think of it, would I not be better off just buying the x42 if I don't want Bluetooth. It seems like they are very similar headsets. What are the differences between the two?

  • @tkayani96 The XP400 has a rechargeable battery and Bluetooth, which are not on the X41. Other than that, they're pretty much the same.

  • You can set the headset to where you cannot answer your phone, correct? I really don't want to have to hear phone calls on my headset while playing.

  • @tkayani96 You can just ignore the call and not pick it up. If you turn off the BT, you won't have wireless chat.
