How is this a Joker 101? You only covered one story out of 70 years of comics. You barley scratched on the surface. There is much more to this character, and you're doing him justice. I to be honest, don't believe that you have read a Joker story other than the Killing Joke. How can you describe the Batman and Joker relationship in 2 seconds? You didn't cover any of his psyche. All you did was explain one of several origins to the Joker, that anyone who knows anything about him or Batman knows.
the problem is the joker is like 80 years old now! in 1940 it wasnt a good idea to explain a psychos origin. especially one as graphic as this. I mean the boy killed animals and children and kept their skeletons as trophies, death was the only thing that made him happy. His father who also worked at the chemical plant went insane and would beat his wife and child and tell these jokes and demanded they smile all the time. These days if you dont havea backstory like that, then its not realistic

theres another origin is that the jokers father used to beat him up for no reason one day he took joker to the circus at age 7 when the clowns came out that was the pnly time the joker saw his dad laught so the next day he whent to his dad and acted like a clow droping his pants his dad started to laught but after the laughter his broke jokers nose thats all i know about the joker

No your thinkin of in the new Halloween movie from 2007. And the Man Who laughs is in the same (modern age) Batman timeline. But I think in The Killing Joke they go into a bit more detail on Joker's origin.

Basically, Owlman and his Injustice Syndicate threw him into the chemicals and he started in with the laughter when he saw his reflection. Also, I hate this view of the joker as an insane psycho maniac . there's nothing special about that. I prefer the alex ross origin of the joker called "case study". It portrays joker as a sadistic calculating criminal genius who uses insanity as a cover and an act to avoid the death sentence and throw ppl of his real motive

THE DARK KNIGHT is a must see. Afterwards, you gotta do a review on it and yes, the whole thing, spoilers and all, this movie is great and want to know what the man himself (you, Big Kev) thinks about it.

dude i just got back from the dark knight a few minutes ago and it is too amazing for words, two face has a great origin, the joker uses multiple stories for his origin and it is a great movie, BEST 2 HOURS OF MY LIFE!!!

That kind of true.People that don't read comics or see comicbook movies have all heard of the Joker.
I saw a behind the scene thing on The Dark Knight, and they said that the Joker was someone who had been beating up by life, and thats why he wears a painted on smile.
I have no doudt Heath did a good job playing the Joker, specialy with the talk about him getting an emmy, and not just as a farewell tribute.

I saw the premiere of the dark night I have to say Heath Ledger played the Joker soooo well way better than Jack Nicholson in the 90's
