  • Could i use any other type of glue to cover my eyebrows?? Like Elmer's liquid glue or rubber cement?? Just asking

  • @jrockluv No, he said in the start of the video that a gel or liquid would not work at all.

  • you have beautiful nails :)

  • I've tried both techniques - the glue stick vs. the spirit gum/wax and I now prefer the latter. For some reason whenever I use the glue stick method - if I do any sort of expression in the brow area if causes my skin to ripple. Meaning there's not a ton of wiggle room or flexibility for the skin to move so it folds in weird ways. (Similar to what lacefront tape does to the skin at the temples.)

But I take my hat (wig) off to those people who have mastered this method because it eludes me.

  • i'm planning on covering my eyebrows for halloween this year...i'm going as maleficent and just have a quick question...will the ben nye clown makeup have a contradicting effect on the pale greyish green makeup that i plan on doing? i know it's a dumb question...

  • Blanche, I am sure everyone tells you this, but you have insanely gorgeous eyes.

I just discovered your channel in an attempt to prepare for Halloween this year (I'm a brunette with black, straight eyebrows going as Lucille Ball) and cannot thank you enough! I'm going to be a subscriber FOR LIFE :) so keep doing your thing, dollface, and I'll keep watching.

  • Everyone went to bed so I'm watching you for some company. You're fabulous.

  • Blanche Can You Please Help Me Do My Eyebrows...I Need Some Assistance!

  • Hey Blanche! Thanks for all your great tutorials! They are so helpful, and you are gorgeous! I have a question for you though. I'm trying to perfect this eyebrow technique but I'm finding that even after 4-5 coats of glue, the ben nye white clown makeup, and a ben nye foundation, that I'm able to see the texture of my eyebrows (individual hairs) through. Can you shed some light as to what I may be doing wrong? Much <3!

  • thanks for your nice tutorial!! xoxo from toronto

  • @thebobohj you should probably learn how to spell before asking something lame like that..

  • super cute!

lol u should do a tutorial on how to get that off O.O

  • why would a boy were makeup??????

  • @TheBobohj

    u mean 'wear'?

  • You. ARE FABULOUS!!

    Great video doll.

  • Thank you, Blanche - your videos are full of good, practical advice. I'm just getting started, and I struggle with having a lot of fallout when doing my eyeshadow. Do you think it would hurt anything to skip the powder until after I've done my eyes?

  • I thought you were kidding for a second about the glue LOL XD

  • I was so excited after I found your old video, but then I saw this one and now I'm even more excited! I'm dressing up as Edith Piaf for a costume party tonight and have been trying to find a way to cover my eyebrows to draw on her thin ones, but when I've praticed they never work. But this seems different from the other videos, so I'm going to try your tricks! :]

  • Blanche - A problem I have had in the past with this method - is you can still see the texture of the glue under the make up (somewhat shiny, doesn't look quite like the other make up) and I've had problems with blending eye shadow in the area with the glue. Do you have any ideas on why this may be happening or tips on how to reduce these annoyances??? <3 <3 <3

  • best eye blocking vid to date blanche - cheers!

  • Great video. Only thing that bugged me was that the foundation was definitely NOT your color.

  • Thank you for your time. Appreciate the insight. Do you do face often?

  • Hi Blanche. I covered my brows recently and the only thing I didn't like is the fact that you can still see the texture of the hair, it's just all glued down. Is it possible to not only cover the brows but make the area completely slick and flat?

  • @Wilhelminaization you should put a thick layer of glue on. only put the concealer on once you can feel a smooth texture over your brows. it will work better that way. also that clown white does wonders for covering brows.

  • Covered eye brows to freak out bf lol, I love drag queens <3

  • Your skin look red and abused. :-(

  • Dear Miss B.,

thank you so very much for sharing your eyebrow secrets!! Not just absolutely practical and easy, but also soooo wonderfully explained! You are such a superb tutor!!

    Kisses from Germany!

  • This method worked wonderfully for my Marlene Dietrich/ silent film star look.

Many thanks for the tutorial (:

  • sicko

  • i tried this trick, but failed miserably,..i didnt get a chance to recap your video, and realized i did it wrong lol. i shall have to use the glue you use and try again for another time

  • if i dont have been nye white concealer will NYX white jumbo pencil work as well?

  • how would i get the glue out? will it tear out my eyebrows?

  • @EssenceOfShadowNinJ Did you watch the entire video? Starting at 9:18 I explain exactly how to remove the glue.

  • @BlancheBabcock sorry, i said that at the begginning of the video and i thought i deleted that comment after i saw the end. Oops....Sorry...XD. but awesome tutorial!

  • thanks again Blanch.

  • theres any special reason why you are using a white concelear/foundation? or i can use any other color?

  • @Michelitha007 white will help completely block out color from the brows.

  • @tylert1137 thankies ;D

  • what a nice video, looking forward seeing more!

  • What have you been doing since Max Factor was discontinued? Have you found another foundation?

  • @butrfly2022005 are you fuking serius

  • you are so cute and your technique is fab xx

  • i love you..... very comprehensive

  • two thumbs up Blanche! gosh your the best :D !!

  • I'm so so sorry this is none of my business but are you gay, or just like going out in drag like some people? No offense, I'm bi myself.

  • @TheTwinsGhettoTV Ye shes gay and hes in a relationshiop with a man!

  • Would it be safe to latex over the eybrow or would the latex still pick out the hairs?

  • @zenthran It is normally not advised to use liquid latex over hair, because it will yank them out or adhere too much. It is advisable to cover your brows with spirit gum or glue before liquid latex application

  • Darling thank you SO much!

  • that's amazing.

  • would this help in covering up scars and bumps on the eyebrows? I have a horrid scar on my eyebrows from a childhood accident and I need a way to cover them up so i can go for a more flawless look. also do you have any tips for natural eyebrow looks?

  • People sure look odd without eyebrows haha. But we're just so used to having them :P

Thanks so much for this tutorial! I've got really dark eyebrows against my light skin so this should definitely work for Halloween =]

  • wait why would you want to use glue to cover your eyebrows...? isnt that unsanitary? and why dont you just draw over your eyebrows like most people do

  • Why not just shave your eyebrows Blanche? :)

  • man, it takes alot of work... I wonder how long it takes really to apply all the makeup

  • LOL omg <3 <3! love you

  • thanks!!! love your make up

  • I cant thank you enough Blanche!

Over the years I've spent fortunes on theatrical spirit gum and wax, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt, but you could always guarentee that after a while working in a hot nightclub, your eyebrows start to crack and peel!

Blanches glue stick method works a treat! I did 9 hours in drag last night and my eyebrows stayed put and looked fantastic all night!

    You're the best!!!!! xxx

  • You're amazing! thanks for the tutorial! :D

  • The video paused on me at 6:33 when you look up at the camera kinda freaked me out haha

  • Gah, i adore you

    I'm totally subscribing now

  • looking back at older videos like this one, I can see you have lost a lot of weight! great job blanche! Keep up this effort! :D

  • doubleee chin, hahahahhhaha blanche! :) hahaha your username reminds me of CiCi Babcock from the show called "The Nanny" ;)

  • omg you are the friggen cutest haha

    and nice tutorial

  • you are so sweet. thanks for sharing.

  • A toner would also work the same way as the sanitizer would ! :)

  • thanks for the info

  • You are absolutely lovely ^0^

I like your tutorial, it´s very helpfull. I have to cover my eyebrows on saturday because I´ll wear a special outfit (japanese fashion style xD) and I don´t want to shave my eyebrows all off again...

  • omg I thought you were a woman up until I saw you without makeup O_o

  • Any glue that works well for glueing and is nice and creamy will work for eyebrow covering. I live in Demark, so I can't get Elmers and my brows are perfectly hidden with other brands of glue.

  • Thanks for making this!!

  • this is a great tutorial! thanks so much! so cheap to do too!

  • hey blanche, i was wondering...can you use a primer over the glue? i really don't like putting foundation or concealer on without a primer, like smashbox photofinish or the rimmel fix and perfect. will it mess the glue up?

  • ur amazing

  • Hi Blancche,

Thanks for the video, once the glue dries and you put the foundation does it look smooth?

  • thankyou for an awsome vid ^^ I'm planing on crossplaying in a few months and needed to remove my brows.Had plans to make a latexform for my brows, but this is much easyer ^^ well done indeed / tnks Leifa

  • thank you honey! Your fabulous!

  • ugh i love u!!!!!! ur amazing!!!!

  • blanche have u ever used string or thread to remove the glue. I have a few times I think its pretty easy.

  • You have the prettiest eyes ever... seriously. Gorgeous! Love your foundation too, it's flawless!!

  • Excellent...Nicely done..Normally I don't like the look of it afterward..only cause, for the most part..u see the bumps..and it kinda looks like u have a scar..more or less..as opposed to flawless looking...But this is done well..:D

    Thanks for sharing..!~ :D

  • This is fantastically helpful to do Rocky Horror makeup. I use this technique every time I play Columbia. Thanks!

    Probably more.

  • Blanche, you are fabulous. I went looking for tutorials, and yours are the absolute best. I can clearly see the processes, the camera isn't all herky-jerky. You are calm (unlike many of the neurotic drags out there)...Thank you so much for the many tips. And for not being snooty about high end products. I was happy to find out that I could get cheap makeup at the dollar store and still get a look. (I still want all the MAC stuff though! Ha ha!) Love you Mary, ...Charles

  • oooh this is sooo perfect for 20's & 30's looks! i have a retro-party soon so i might try this^^ thanks for posting!

  • hi blanche i tried to cover my eyebrows today and i think i did good :) but my eyeshow didnt work good when i tried to put it do you know why? i use mac products please if u can help me i will really appreciate!!!

  • Your eyes are amazing Blanche if I do say so myself.

  • I think you are so sweet!!!!

  • your so great! love this video!

  • with that shirt... your eyes look amazig!!!

  • Blanche I think your tutorial is great... the only thing I would change is instead of using the Ben Nye white, I'd pick a light reddish color to cancel out the color thats left from your brows... it might sound crazy but once you put your foundation on top it looks flawless. I'd be interested in hearing what you think!

  • blanch , i recc that you watermark your videos...too many video thieves nawadays

  • hey blanche can you do oyur favorite foundations for me? Thanks!!! (:

  • Blanche I could not agree more doing an update tutorial given the many new people who may not have seen the earlier tutorials on eyebrow covering. I celebrate and applaud your techniques they have been so helpful with my stage work and performance art. Cheers!

  • thx u for this vid..!! :}

  • i just love thanks u are great!!!

  • I love oyu Blanche!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Just wondering why you go over the brows with the white rather than a full coverage skin tone? Does it really help mute out the color of the brow, or is it more for a highlight?

  • Blanche why do you and most drag queens cover their brows? You have quite a bit of space there and it does not seem to me that you would need to. I hate to sound dumb, but if you could enlighten me I would appreciate it - Thanks

  • For the stage (for me, at least) if I don't make my brows much higher, they kind of swallow up the details I've painted in on my lids. Gives you a bigger canvas, you could say.

  • love all of your vids. i look forward to them all

  • I love your videos soooo much! your such a beautiful gentle person :) I'm a special effects makeup artist learning new tricks :) thank you so much for being on youtube <3

  • for the forehead sweat prob u can seal the eye brows in spirit gum and let dry before u apply ur clown white trust they will never move after u do that just make shure the gum is dry before painting or u will have a mess

    xoxoxo jenn

  • Okay, two question type things for ya.

    1. If you're planning on making your appearance at 10.00pm, what time would you start getting ready? (How long does Blanche take to materialize?)

    2. How different would Blanche look if your natural eyebrows were used? Please (x1000) could we have a photo of Blanche with real eyebrows?

Loving your work, as always. Pxx

im impatient i doubt i would wait long enough. haha. :)

but you're beautiful as always love.

    nice video.

  • Thanks! Its usually about 5 mins in between each coat. Not a long time because you are applying thin coats.
