I believe Clark had a hand in the way Lex turned out. Look at Lex's life. His parents basically ignored him, he didn't have many friends, and he was a good guy at the beginning. It was only when Clark(his only true friend)who pushed Lex away like his parents did, which would make anyone mad.

Lex even told clark: "A friendship based on lies is doomed to fail."

So according to Smallville(not the comics) Clark helped to create evil Lex.

I think that Clark is the real villian of the story. If he had been honest with Lex from the start, Lex wouldn't have turned the way he did.

Lex Luthor will always be for me the most interesting character of any superman movie/comic/smallville whatever. Just embodies that it doesn't take some special power to be evil just a twisted mind (and maybe a lot of money)

I agree with you on that. He is just blamed for being ambitious, i mean all he wants to do is be a protector of mankind. it goes with his name "Alexander" look it up it means protector of mankind. And yes definately need money for most of the stuff he has done.

This earned a 5 star rating from me! Lex is the ultimate villain (aside from Darth vader). Michael Rosenbaum does such an amazing job of acting the part of Lex! He is 10 times better than Kevin Spacey for playing that role.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!! That was incredible. I've loved how the show evolves and plays with his character. From the corporate trails he endured all throughout seasons 1 and 2. To the leasons of betrayal and trust he faced in season 3. It was all about his journey to power ever since. Its amazing how far hes come. From the ambitious young and wise man who was struggling to escape from his fathers globle shadow. To the power hungry man who has far surpassed his father, and even strikes fear into him.
