  • how i miss this times! ^^

  • so simple but yet so special love it

  • I never made it to the stampede level. This is so impressive

  • Very nostalgic. This game came with the Genesis we bought back around 1995.

  • Goddamn those are some fine sprite animations. You can really tell animators were put on this.

  • Ahhhhh the memories.

  • I swear, when I was a kid, I was convinced Timon was actually saying " It sucks " at the beginning.

  • Back when movie video games were good.

  • Gonna go connect the mega drive up and then leg it round to software seller and re-buy this game :P

  • this game and so manny others bring back alot of great memories(jurassic park, shinobi 3,phantasy star 4,sonic & knuckles,)and the stampede section of the game is forever burned into my mind from being punished by it haha,i miss those days because all game developers care about now are gaming fads like multiplayer and first and third person shooters and graphics (almost everything i dont give a shit about) i those days renting games was fun,now i have to worry about red and yellow rings of death?

  • @chupacabra11583 almost every game is a shooter or only famous because they have good graphics

  • @DRisLegend200919 true and also sad at the same time

  • This and rocket night warrior were made fav games made on the sega and sonic aswell unfortuately i think my cousin stole this lion king game and i was sad :( when i realised it was gone. im only 16 nearly 17 and i was still able to enjoy these games othe brill games i thought were mega man 2 on NES and final fantasy 7 on ps1 is still my favourite game ever made...what ever happened to console these games ment sumtin now games like black ops is just borin.. i cud play segamega NES ps1 ps2 all day

  • Loved the hakuna matata part

  • Oh God!! the bugs, the music, the fucking stampede, ... I died so many times but this game was juste freaking awesome!!! Thanks for the video

  • I think the dude playing doesn't even know Simba can roll by pressing down while running lol. It can be used to turn the hedgehogs and to access some secret items.

  • used to love this game, brings back memories <3

  • Renember seeing this on display in Toys R Us when i first brought my megadrive

  • they used the same bats in this game as they used in aladdin

even as a kid i was like "how the fuck can a bat kill a fully grown lion?!"

  • The level at 23:16 looks like Hell

  • wow :D

  • great game :)

  • That, and how much Can't Wait To Be King resembles the official soundtrack version in parts.

  • I am still very impressed by the clarity of the voice clips in this game. Well most of them anyway.

  • music kicks ass

  • THIS GAME IS VERY HARD

  • Coincidence? You be the judge. "Assholes, turn the camera off!" "Scar! Brother, help me!" "PISS!!!!" "You can suck my dick or cock!" "SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!!!"

  • jogava mto isso! rs bons tempos...

  • Bond memories :( i used to play it as a child, still remember how hard was for me the combination of the monkeys in the second level :S Good game, it was one of my first games, i really enjoyed it.

  • Qué recuerdos, éste y el Aladdín eran de mis preferidos!

  • 36:25 ... FATALITY

  • El verdadero vicio de mi vida

  • I love this game.

  • this was one the games stil fresh in my memory, this was when the money wasn't the only goal of making a game.

  • I loved this game as a child and I still do. The ending however was a little disapointing but that will never ruin the nostalgia of the game.

  • how can i throw down Scar? which combination?

  • THIS WAS MY CHILDHOOD! :D

  • @ThePlatypus16 blackops wont make my memory bank where i store games. this one has lasted fifteen years. ^_^

  • The music is so great :)

  • omg, i cant get past the waterfall... :/

  • no me gusta, ME FLIPA

  • Is this on the genesis or something?

  • @ultradinosaur123 Yep. Mega Drive is the other name for the Sega Genesis.

  • Take that Snape!

  • such a great game, the music, characters and scenery all transported so well from film to game, remember this game so well thwt when watching The LIon KIng today it made me think of how great this game was! Timless game.

  • Lol, I hated The Stampede. =)

  • I'm having a nostalgic moment. I'm gonna dig out the old Sega megadrive and play this!

  • 15:30 That part was infuriating, I remember. You make it look easy. And then the damn waterfall...

  • games were so much more entertaining on a more basic level back then. i miss the simplicity and mystery of a game that i didnt know existed until i found it in a shop or was told about it by a friend.

    p.s

cartridges ruled, they lasted for ever.

  • This is like the first game I've ever played in my life!

  • Oh my god, you played this so well!!

I played this countless times when I was a kid, but I could never get past Simba's Destiny.

  • Memories

  • 09:53 oh my god i hate this place

  • I remember playing this as a kid, I had trouble with Can't Wait To Be King, I don't think I ever got the stages were Simba became an adult though. Sega always made the best Disney games.

  • This was my favorite game as a kid. I used to pretend to be Simba when my cousins andI played Lion king so to actually be able to PLAY as a real lion well...I could barely contain my excitement when I got this game. Screw mario, THIS was the game that made me into the gamer I am today.

  • @BakaniBoko

I'm with you dude. I was OBSESSED with this game. I loved it. Sega was the shit anyway because it had Toejam & Earl and Streets of Rage II ;)

  • oh my god

    this was so long ago

I want to be a little kid again

  • I played this game to death when I was little, I used to love the music on the first level and still do!

The one bit that I always used to struggle with was the waterfall log section in the hakunamatata level, I think I would still struggle with that bit now!

  • awww.. one of the very first games i ever got.. my mum got it for me!... lol when was this out?... ohh i just cant wait to be king!... xx

  • OMG NOSTALGIA!

  • 22:47 " I'm going to take a piss and when I come back I'm going to talk about the mighty duck movies."

  • 14:49-18:24 "Big black woman with big tits, you can't miss her!"

  • 12:22 If you play the Pink Floyd album Darkside of the Moon and the Wizard of Oz at the same time, the sound will match at some parts. Something simular happened while filming Danny. The following audio was recorded while Danny was cussing out people on the phone. It is being played over some clips from the Lion King.

  • Good Gameplay! However, I like more the SNES version of this game. The sound, the music and the self control is better on SNES.

  • the only problom with the mega drive is when simba gets hurt he sounds like adalt simba when he gets hurt. and the only time he says ow as a cub is only in the stampede levle

  • If I got a pound for the number of attempts it took me to get past that bloody waterfall level!

  • gameboy version was better imo

  • @rnoka but dosent the game over screen scare you a little? the one that has scar on it and says long live the king. just look at his eyes!

  • And the GRAPHICS! I LOVE BEING TAKEN BACK IN TIME!!!!

  • And the GRAPHICS! I LOVE BEING TAKEN BACK IN TIME!!!!

  • And the GRAPHICS! I LOVE BEING TAKEN BACK IN TIME!!!!

  • Holy fuck! I was about 3 maybe 4 and I'd watch my brother pkay this, was the first game he ever completed, he was about 6-7!

  • @aggiepup2005 Also.... the graphics!!! I love time travellin backwards to when I believed in everything and knew nothing at all!

  • the FPS is fantastic on normal quality

  • hm...i played this when i was.....5 or 6 i cant get pass that 1 lvl where u have to jump pass those trees the only 1 that ever finished it was my mom....good times good times

  • great:)

  • Cheeeee spettacolo!!

  • Puoi dirlo forte...impazzivo per questo videogame!! che ricordiiiiiiiiiiii!!!

  • i think it's interesting, the games back in the day used to draw you in way more then these high-def games now-a-days... i know that nostalgia also plays a big part in it, but i still think less is more... this was an awesome game... easily in my top 5

  • i still have my sega mega drive under the stairs - it has to be at least 15 years old. It's broke though :(( but me and my bro in law found a website where they sell them for £29.99 brand new with 15 games!!!!!! (brand new meaning 15 years old but never been used) I used 2 borrow this game off my friend, I swapped it for Aladin lol

  • I love The Lion King movie and game. I wish this would get released on a Sega Collection for the PS3!:)

  • @XLostSoul76X That would be a legal nightmare.

  • I know but, I can dream can't I?:)

  • exactly like me also... what a game... hope for a next-gen remake... =)

  • Played this when I was 4, such a good game.

  • This game was like the epitome of my childhood; I used to sit at school thinking about getting home to play this game almost every day, it took me forever to get past the stampede level!! Thanks for posting =]

  • Haha exactly like me xD

  • hate the stampede level! even 12 years after playing this for the first time i stuck playing this level.

  • @BubblesNotBombs31 You said it all!

  • @BubblesNotBombs31 i miss those days when gaming was more simple and nothing else even matterd besides watching NICK and playing sega and super nintendo, and the mighty ducks haha

  • 100x better than the Amiga version.

Better music, more levels, better ending, better sound effects.

  • @NTxC JAJAJAJAJAJA

  • 05:52

how the hell was that monkey able to fling simba that far?!

  • dude it's a game...

  • yeah but still....

  • wow i forgot about the jungle book

and ya this game was hella hard for me when i was young but then again every game was i couldn't beat 1 game

  • Command & Conquer: Lion King!!

  • I remeber playing the jundgle book god I love dinsey style 2d games there so fun and the art aways comes together like a painting something I dont see in other games :3

  • I still up to this day cant pass the be prepared level.

  • this bring back memories..i love this amazing game

  • This game was savagely hard when I was 7 and its no better now, still ace though but for a kids game it was damn hard

  • Oh the memories!

I remember I could not figure out the flip to finish off scar! And when I did (after an hour rofl) my parents were so proud, it was like the first video game I ever completed on my own as a kid. That and Aladdin.

Wish I still had it lol

  • RE: be prepared

at what point in the lion king movie did simba walk through a volcano

  • Never.

  • in be prepared its like in the part of the movie were scar was singing the song be prepared in a volcano

  • I never got past the stampede part in the game :D

  • this was a very nice game when i was 8, 9 years old :)

  • Eyy thanks too much 4 share this with all us...Was my favourite game when I was little...^^ It's one of the best games 4 Sega Megadrive with Sonic ^0^

  • Ahh so many memories of tring to get past level 2 haha keep in mind i was about 5 when i played it haha!

this and Sonic the Hedgehog FTW hehe ^^

    Xx

  • Great game! and great storyline, too! ;)

  • Not many people liked this game, it's a good one. I love this more than any other Disney games. Thanks for posting!

  • wow i remember it well.

    Really smooth graphics.

The second level was the best. sort of a puzzle.

didnt know westwood made it - probably why its so good.
