This was the best Croatian team ever but unfortunately it lacked Alen Boksic that until March/April 1998 was playing his best season ever at Lazio, then suffering a severe knee injury that prevented him to play for a year. With Alen beside Davor Croatia would have definitely won that World Cup...anyway Croatia was great
