No he didn't, this is before he died, 2000 or 01 I think. He mnaged them, but he retired somewhere around 90 to switch to religious music, which was his concentration until he died. He did appear with them on PBS (look for yellow suits) to help in PBS' cause around a year before he died. His technical replacement, and lead on every song besides this one, was either Anthony Watson (here) or Frank Reed; the two alternated back & forth over the years.
