  • Happy black people make me happy haha

  • Nice groove; beautiful guitar!

  • funk is freaken relaxing

  • what's the other bloke for in these vids? He just says "wow!". Nice to have him there though.

  • @kerumble he is the owner of hear and play

  • I wish you went more into detail!

  • is there anyone of youtube thats not childish about it but teaches you how to play the guitar

  • @magicprodigy1999 Marty Shwartz guitarjamz. search " marty guitar" and he'll come up.

  • what type of guitar is that lol

  • "just some stuff in between. simple licks" ......simple licks my butt haha

  • That D to E is such a major funk hot spot on bass and guitar alike!

  • what kind of scales you play ???

  • @DhrRepelsteel Then you should listen to more of both.

  • you don't need to use tabs.... tabs makes you a dependent........what you need is your ability and patience... if you can't stand it out.... your nothing just like you just depend on other people... watching them.. all i can say is whether you are an intermediate guitar person or a beginner you just need to use your hearing and that's it...

  • @zuwyzzxkr21 This guy has a nice vibrato, so we should listen to him. I get little confused with those short chord strokes he does, I can't figure them out easily.

  • @zuwyzzxkr21 anyone can "depend" on anything. the tab won't do that to anyone. I think learning tab is fine. being dependent on something has to do with the person themselves, not the person or thing they are depending on. Just like someone can be dependent on standard notation, or playing really fast, or playing cover songs, etc... So whoever this guy is talking to, I say go for it learning tab, but don't let YOURSELF become dependent on solely that.

  • @zuwyzzxkr21 Learning from other people doesn't make you not stand out. It makes you the opposite, musicians being a fact compose their own by listening to other musicians building their own style. Let's say you were a Solid Jazz Guitar and wanted to learn about more of Rock. It would separate you more uniquely playing Rock than just Solid Rock Guitarist's playing Rock. My belief, instruments should be taught in person. Learning the "soul" if you will, and the "feel" of it.

  • keep it funky.

  • very good

  • what kind of guitar is that

  • It's a Hagstrom D2f, they come with two Hagstrom 60's humbuckers and I would say they are stock in that guitar. It's a maple amber flame finish, mohogany body, fixed mohogany neck, Incredible guitars. Coil tap so you can go to single coil on each bucker and a 3 way tone, brige, both, neck.

I have the same guitar in the D2H model, no f hole, no tail piece and no coil tap. I love it,I like the simple one toggle, one volume, one tone. Quality can't be beat, they are a work of art.

  • great !

  • i like his sound. what are the pickups?

  • What guitar are you using?

  • You have a great teaching method.

  • AWESOME!

  • Nice man!

  • That lick at :37 seconds almost made me vomit. Sickening.

  • Like the riff but this doesn't help much without tabs and the video is to short.

  • to bad no tabs

  • semi hollow ftw

  • is it the "hendrix chord" that he plays around 0:15 ?!

  • @SmedleySmorganoff nope its the open g and b strings played as ghost notes. didnt u listen to wat he said

  • @SmedleySmorganoff excuse me upstroke on bottom four strings

  • yes that is right but i am talking about the chord he plays at the end of the lick thing around 0:40

  • yup.

  • no, that's just a 10b :)

  • Yeeeeeeeaaaaa thats a guitarplayer!!!!!!!!!!

  • I like it, I like it a lot. I think I just broke a nail.

  • ur goodd!!!!!!!!

  • funkin good playing.

  • its a hagstrom d2f

  • i agree with you, and I am very well aware of the usefullness of Tab, however I was making a point that many students and players are neglecting the power of ear training. I do not speak in absolutes.

  • i dont really like the open E playing.. it sounds too rummbley

  • has that ever worked?

  • Being a teacher, I have found that tabs have ruined more players ability and potential to flow and grow as a musician. Tabs are good for a compare and contrast reference, but other than that, force your ear out. Trust me, it is more difficult, but if you FOCUS and focus hard, you get more and more in tune, as well it will strengthen your ability to absorb many good things in life. You can do it!

  • im not a teacher but i think tabs are a good thing to keep the player intersted and its rewarding to make a nice sound u are trying to learn which keeps u playing..not many people are going to be able to pick an instrumet up and start pickin stuff out..i been playing for a year and a half and im trying real hard to train my ear but at best i can tell u a major or minor chord when i hear it..ear is good but whats wrong with a little fun since that is why most people are doing it anyway

  • hey nice riff could some tell me were i could get a tab for this awsome!!!! =)

  • try learn by ear dude.. trust me if u do..u will feel proud n motivated to learn more

  • sweet licks bud, awesome! Very James Brown! :p

  • FUNKY DUDE!

  • great guitar
