Cloud... you've OBVIOUSLY missed what he said... I hope you don't listen to music the same way... He didn't say anything about crossing lines, yadda, yadda, yadda... He saying that if you're going to on a limb, and make creative leaps, THEN DO IT! Using autotune is a cop-out. If you're going to go at it, then use YOUR voice. People who are scared to fail singing-wise use auto-tune. PERIOD. Plus, its not "creative" if T-Payne's been doing it since he came out. That's called biting, copy-cat, etc.

The point is he can do whatever.....if everyone wants to buy so be it if NOT so be it. Kanye is not obligated to people's rules or what he SHOULD do. Kanye wants to do what he wants like phonte did on the second caloboration of nicolay (foreign Exchange) where he decided to sing on the entire project rather than rap....when technically he is a rapper autotuned or not. Phonte can't sing, kanye can't sing, but phonte gets more credit for not autotuning?c'mon. You like fine, don't like dont buy.

he gets more credit because he did not alter his voice. on a side note, when i want to listen to singers, phonte is not on my list. it is easy to say, "if you dont like it dont buy." that a cop out for people who dont want to be criticized. when anyone makes music and releases it to the public, they are subject to both positive and negative feedback. phonte did not like it so he said so when asked. i did not like it because vocally, it was something i could have done myself and i cant sing.

don't get kanye's album than. Music is an art form a performance of one's imagination or dream. If a person doesn't like what it is don't buy. Purpose of doing music is not necessarily to appeal to ppl but to appeal to one's own art. Regardless of what was used it's about the actual music and SOUND. The album sold three million I know each an every person that got the album bought it because of him being kanye why? because I bought it and I only care about the music nuthin else.

You can do whatever you want. Thats why so many artists fall off because they do not take chances. They listen to disgruntled fans like U and phonte and think there are barriers and lines you can't cross......lol. The art was not appealing to you but damn it I down in florida and hawaii which I been it's playing in the clubs with tones of girls lookin like halle berry dancing to it. u missed the point of what i said. u didnt like what phonte said. he was voicing his opinion and you had a problem with it. and i voiced my opinion about what you said and you told me to just not buy the album instead of putting your energy into actually coming up with an argument defending autotune and its usuage. you definitely lose if you just give up on the argument, but i expected you to use weak arguments and give up when i kept going.
