  • Exactly what I was looking for !

    Thanks "n_n" Perfect tutorial.

  • how did you get the 3rd row to ruffle to the 2nd?

  • @Utauhoshina100 I just makes small folds on the 3rd row and sew it to the 2nd row (this one being completely flat) I hope you get it :)

  • Whoa! I myself made some petticoats before, but they never looked so pretty.

Thank you for making this tutorial, I will try this out!

It just looks so wonderful <3!!

  • uh.... what do you mean by shirr the two together. >.> <.< i'm a sewing newb.

  • If you send out a written slower tutorial, I am VERY interested!

  • How did you attach the ribbon?

  • this has to be the best tutorial I've found on here! lol thank you so much .

  • It's beautiful! How many net/tulle layers have you made for the pictures?

  • The captions aren't working for me :(

  • @CookieCrisis they're working here :O

  • Wow your petticoats came out really nice. ^^ Thanks for putting up these tutorials.

  • Hello!

This is a very helpful tutorial!♥

Is the petticoat more V-shaped or bellshaped?

  • Your petticoats are beautiful, but please make another video at normal speed and explain what you are doing. This is exactly what I have been looking for, but there is no way I can follow what I just watched!

  • THANK YOU <3 Your tutorial helped me a lot :)

  • Just a random question but, is shirring the same as gathering? =)

  • This is just what I have been looking for.

    Thanks a lot for sharing \o/ <3

  • Hey, I just wanted to drop by and say I tried the elastic waistband technique you used in the video for a skirt I made and it turned out so fantastic! Thanks so much for the tutorial :D

  • @XcarxcrashxheartsX47 i'm glad to hear that! Thank you for the comment! <3

  • Do you think you can write a step-by-step tutorial to go along with the video? I am new at sewing and you make it look fairy simple. I would love to try this! You have great talent! <3

  • @gmendez7787 Hi there! The video's got captions, have you enabled it? Maybe that will help, if you have seen the captions and still think it would be good to make a better written explanation let me know! Have a good time <3

  • does the skirt have any side seams?the video is too fast i cant see it properly

  • @XxMkumixX Yes it has, 1:10 shows it. The video was supposed to have only 3mins, that's why I did it so fast. sorry <3

  • @XxMkumixX I agree with this, I really want to make this skirt, but it's way too fast, can you post a video that goes step by step in regular motion? This is amazing, love what you make!

  • @Sweetashanni Hi there! i'm sorry it's fast... I thought people would get bored if the video was too long or something and I always forget that if I understand some people may not~

I can do another tutorial, for sure~ I just need to find some time for that =~

    Thanks for your comment! <3

  • @MeLikesTea It would be awesome if you made another video. I promise I won't get bored.

  • how did you shirr row 3.did you make it the same length as row 2.sorry i dont understand how to gather.thnx ^-^

  • Is GREAT, But still I have some questions u.u How many layers are? Two? o.o and both layers are sewed to the fabric? Did you make like a skirt under the petti sewed to it? And how many elastic did you put?

    THANK YOU!!! T__T

  • @AkaraShimizu Hi there! You can make as many layers as you want, but yeah in this one I did 2.^^ Yes bothelayers were sewed to the fabric. Well, the lining is kinda like a skirt. (I didn't get it very well sory) Usually I use my waist measure less 5~10cm. <3

  • Please do more tutorials it's a major help thanks :D

  • Awesome! I Just Love it... You have a great talent~~♥

    Im going to try it..♪

  • were you using a gathering foot on your machine for the tiers?

  • @AnnaKin Not really, but I think that would be a great thing!

  • @Sweethcafe I was taking commissiong on the EGL sales but as my college classes started I had to stop. ^^

  • These are some of the most useful tutorials I've ever seen! Clear and simple! Thank you so much! ^^

  • Oh and another one!

    3. Is the lining piece just a gathered retangle? Or more like an a-line/trapezoid skirt?

Sorry for all these questions :)

    I'm new to sewing ^^;

  • @Beyoncefanny Judging by the pattern at :08, it's a gathered rectangle.

  • @Beyoncefanny I'm sorry, I didn't see your comment before, AnnaKin is right, it's just a gathered rectangle.

  • Ok I am a bit confused so I have two questions :)

    1. When you sew the sides you say you do it like in your first tutorial. That means you make french seams, right?

    2. At 1:00 and 1:01 when you say 'It will be like this' it looks as if the second tier is longer than the third. Have you made an extra tier with the length of 2+3 together and used it as a second layer by sewing it to the second tier?

If so what is the width of it? Same as the third tier?

  • SO! I followed your tutorial and it came out GREAT! just two layers of the tulle is enough to poof out the dress nicely :) thanks again for the tutorial, it was ultra helpful x)

  • @Rawrschachie When I started to read your comment I thought "OMG things went wrong, my fault D:" haha Thank you very much. I'm very happy to know that it helped you for real! <3

  • @MeLikesTea if something went wrong, I wouldn't blame you xD you supplied the tutorial and I would have been the one to make a mistake xD

  • Thank you so much for this! :) My mom and me are trying to sew me a lolita petticoat and this has helped a lot! Does this petti poof out both A-line and cupcake shapes? And does it work well? Thanks!

  • @ChisatoShino You're welcome! I use it both with A-ine and cupcake skirts and it works very well (it wouldn't be "AP cupcake" shape, for that you'd have to make changes but then it wouldn't work well for a-line skirts). <3

  • How exactly did you do the tulle????? I dont understand! How long is the tulle?

  • @BrokenFlowerChild sorry, I don't understand what you mean. ><" is it how much I've used? or how long are the rows? .-.

  • when you shirr row 3 and 2 together, you use elastic thread on the bobbin right? then just sew?

  • @HeyLookTheSunSmiled no no, I just shirr the row 3 and sew it to the row 2, this one being normal, straight. *hoe you understand* ;)

  • @MeLikesTea Thank you very much, i almost screwed up there >.< haha awesome tutorial !

  • Thanks for posting these easy to follow tutorials!

  • This tutorial is soooo great :D I'll try it soon ♥

  • Do you use some proportion between the length of the rows?

    This tutorial is amazing * w *♥

  • @Makisuh Not really, I just make them with different sizes but I don't use a right proportion *nothelpful* XD

  • Comment removed

  • For your next tutorial, or one of your upcoming ones, could you do a cutsew? That would be great!

Oh, and thank you so much for both! They're LOADS of help! <3

  • @HarpsichordHime I've never done a cutsew myself, but whenever I make one i'll surely make a tutorial for that! thanks for your comment! <3

  • thankyouthankyouthankyou!!! This is like...the only petticoat tutorial I have found on youtube, and all the petticoats are sooooo cuuuute!!! amazing! :D
