Too bad he couldn't keep up on his own debts to pay his campaign staff member Becky Isais. He has owed me $1000.00 for over a year now. Mike Gravel talks fine but doesn't hold himself to his own standards. With those kind of morals I'm glad he didn't make it. HE IS A TRUE POLITICIAN!!!

Obama blocked Gravel from receiving around $200,000 in federal matching funds while the campaign hit rock bottom after Gravel was excluded from the debates. Even Becky admits she was paid before the October surprise devastated the campaign. Even now, Gravel is the only person to have not received his matching funds from the FEC, although he qualified more than a year ago. (Even Nader received his matching funds.) Obama is now president-elect, the bailout passed, and justice has been served!

Here's a tip:

If you want to sell out your friends for a piece of silver, get the silver in advance before you hang yourself.

If this was all about the money, you should have worked for Obama instead of harassing a threadbare campaign completely dependent on volunteer effort by LOYAL supporters (some of whom were paid staff before the crisis) who continued despite the media blackout and blocking of matching funds.

This man is one of the best politicians that this country has ever had, he has a record that is for people & for peace.

Great speech, but I hope he uses more opportunities like this to really push the national initiaitive, and focus a little less on attacking the democratic leadership and the other candidates. If people really get a grasp of the national initiative it could cause a firestorm in the media, and I for one would love to hear the candidates comment on why they support or don't support legislature to empower the people. Any videos of candidates commenting on the national initiative?
