  • To clear things up - this option is specific to the uploader's soundcard. If you're lucky, your own sound card might have something similar, like I used to have one which had a "What U Hear" option. However, the sad truth is that most sound cards will do nothing of the sort.

  • i only see microphone in the options help

  • @TheCabbageLord right click -> show disabled devices, it should appear (it worked for me...) then right click on the stereo mix, enable :) hope it helps

  • Hey, i'm trying to do this but it's not working at all, it doesn't seem to be picking the sound up when i play stuff off the soundboard, any ideas? Please help :(

  • I only see the microphone in the options D:

  • this works with windows xp?

  • LOL SOOO FUCKING FUNNY, great tutorial too thanks :D

  • @Sgtmeatloaf No problem. I'd like to think at least a few people learned from this. I want people to be able to record good quality audio because you'd had to have a great call with terrible audio. When I first started it just sounded so proffesional.

Thanks for watching man. Glad this was helpful. I learned from xaozzz back in summer 08.

  • how do you get wave mix?

  • i cant see stereo mix or wave even when i check sow disabled any ideas?

  • hey waveout mix isnt there for me... and i right clicked and checked both options still

  • Hey id like to do this but skype costs money :(

  • There is some VoIP programs called iCall or something that is free. I haven't used it in a while though.

But Skype is free to use if you call 800 numbers, which is what all of my Skype calls are made to.

  • Oh OK. Well I'll look into it tomorrow. Thanks man.

  • No problem.

I wouldn't be here if xaozzz hadn't answered my questions well over a year ago.

  • Ok.. I will check it out when I get time and tell you if it works. I seen some of your prank calls. good work dude.

  • I looked for it but it says it 25 bucks a month

  • how do you make the calls though just with your phone and the speakers...or do you actually have the phone run through the computer.

  • If you're talking about your landline I know how that's done.

Down at radio shack they have different models that plug into your phone to record calls. There is a standard male jack like the kind you'd find on your headphones that you can plug into your computer microphone jack, tape recorder or digital recorder.

Are you taking about Skype? or your Landline?

  • hey man thanks....well i mean where everying is just run from your comp, so the phone actually is dialed out of your comp and you can crank calls that way, if you record it from a microphone the qualirty isnt as good and also the people can tell its a speaker..i'll research it some more and find it, good work and vids though man thanks

  • Just set up everything like I did in this video, and download and install Skype or some type of VoIP computer program.

If you have anymore questions just get back at me. I'll be glad to help.

  • I don't get the WaveOut Mix thingy, what do I do?

  • I've read sometimes it's called stereo mix.

Get back to me if you're still having trouble.

  • How is this done on XP?

  • How do you make it not echo their voice off the sound card but so you still hear it

  • how do you make it so that instead of talking into your mic to talk to people in ventrilo, you can use your sound card to play mp3 and wav files directly.

  • You simply play whatever it is you're going play while pressing the hot key.

And to record the vent you simply use the recorded that is built into ventrilo.
