  • lalala operator with my pocket calculator!

  • Listen now . . for in the near future . . it will be in-side your body . . Via-Nano-Chip . .

  • actually it IS possible on single player dual mode, you can have two songs loaded simultaneously and have a pattern from each song play at the same time, so he could have had essentially an extra drum kit and two extra synths, provided he KNEW about single player dual mode

  • amazing sounds from the DS System! Great piece of music

  • Kraftwerk DS

  • nice made *Top*

  • annnnh le tueur!!!! enormissime ce qu'on peut faire avec la DS

  • I'm completely blown away. Wow.

  • Genius!

  • Unbe-chuffing-lievable! Kudos dude!

  • Adding and subtracting I'm am the operator on my pocket calculator, I grew up listening to Kraftwerk and still have some of their vinyl , not that I'm old haha.

  • Holy crap, this sounds even better then the original!

  • Amazing!!! you're a master!!! :)

  • nice dude. .! !

  • いつ見てもすげえな(∩^ω^∩)

  • I'm the operator with my pocket calculator. By pressing down a special key it plays a little melody. I am adding. And subtracting. I'm controlling. And Composing.

  • Awesome!!! It's great to see what is possible to do with the Korg DS-10 when somebody is skilled!

  • you are a robot sir

  • im the operator with my ds calculator

  • so mad

  • I made "Computer World" with DS-10. After I saw this I figured that it might be cool to upload that sometime.

  • wonderful!!!!

  • I don't see how this is possible. I have the DS-10+ and it is only capable of 2 synth patches at a time and one (4-part) drum sequence, at least when used on the DS. (double on the DS-10+ used with a DSi). There are many points in this composition where you have the drums, a bassline, a rhythmic synth and a lead part. That is 3+drums. Not possible with just one DS-10.

  • @MisterTaft It's possible with just one DS-10. I use SYN1:Main Synth, SYN2:Calculator sound, DR1:KICK&SNARE(Here is a point. Low note is Kick, High note is Snare), DR2:HiHat, DR3:Bass, DR4:Backing Synth.

  • @RereChang That is absolute genius! Thank you for explaining it. I was so frustrated yesterday trying to figure it out, I read every post in this thread until I saw what I thought was this same explanation. I really appreciate your response!

  • Fuckin' awesome!

  • I SWALLOWED MY GUM! Unbelievable!

  • AMAZING!!! sounds almost like the original ... :)

  • I Want Tutorial!!!!!!!!!! Please

  • excellent.

  • Wow, BLOODY WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is truely awesome, I love this song, this is very authentic, I really can't critisize what you've done and I'm generally very critical of cover versions. Can you record yourself singing on DS-10?

  • I never normally post comments but this is awesome...you've even got all the panning spot-on. For a while i thought it was a fake but your sounds are very slightly different...but an amazing job anyway dude.

  • A++ Perfect Score!  * * * * *

  • 2nd time posting, please post a tutorial!! T_T

  • Awesome, could you post a video or something of how you did it?

  • Awesome ! *_*

  • Great work! Also, when Kraftwerk Played this live, they used a stylophone, a Bee Gees Rhythm Machine, a Custom built drum trigger and a Casio Translator. Keep it up!

  • Nice work but, Kraftwerk played it on Stylophones in 1981

  • So awesome it's really the same as pocket calculator go kraftwerk! :D

  • wwooow

  • Beautiful stuff, really warm and smooth

  • Great!

  • Perfect job, mate! Perfect!

  • NIce ...

    Good Job !

    ;)

  • damn great job

  • Well done. Yes, Kraftwerks' music and this song "pocket Calculator" (1981) was way ahead of its time.

  • Excellent job!!!!

  • Holy Hell.. my favorite DS-10 Compilation..

    I love pocket calculator btw.

  • this is amazing.

  • That's brilliant. Well played. I've recreated The Model on DS-10. I hope to have it on Youtube in a week or so. It's not as good as this though, you've set quite a standard.

  • well played, good sir.

Check out my DS-10 stuff. Its all original and on YouTube, but unless theres an HQ version, youre better off going to the zshare links i post in each video. Sounds A LOT better. Oh, and make sure your computer speakers are capable of BASS!!!

  • Delightfully faithful reproduction. I salute you.

  • Are Kraftwerk making a come back

or what. Why not. Perhaps the

DS Korg can make all their classic

    sounds.

  • This is brill, makes me want one.I`m amazed that there are no mistakes while this guy mutes/unmutes the sequences!

A fantastic job and very very close to the original sound.5 stars from me!!!!

  • perfect...

  • Still awesome-RereChang have you produced any more Kraftwerk covers-I'd be amazed to hear a version of Autobahn done by yourself?

  • SIR...I SALUTE YOU! WELL DONE!!!

  • Dude that is sick. I could EASILY mistake that for the actual recording, which I own and have listened to countless times. Kraftwerk must have used something very similar to the MS-10 when they made this... If I recall, Computer World came out in 81, which I believe is right around when the MS-10/MS-20 came out...

  • 本人降臨乙です!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • やっぱ、すげえ...

    あとロボット、勝手に上げてごめんなさいね。アレでしたら消します。

  • Awesome ! this remake knocks me off my socks !

  • this is fucking amazing!

  • this is great.got this for xmas and i havent got a clue what to do!suppose i better read the instructions, lol.

  • to get the bassline sound from the percussion, go to the drum programm grid and then tap the white box extreme left on the line of the percussion part you are working on. It should take you to the piano roll screen and that is where you programm in the pitch. Hope this helps. At the end of the day it means you can have up to six melody lines instead of just two but you sacrifice the drum parts.

  • could you email me a sav file of the tune

  • just putting all the sav's is hte wrong way... try it! its so much more satisfying ;)

  • Sorry dangergErBi !! do you speak english?

I have 30 years experience of analogue synthesers and have pushed this little machine to the limits.Yes you can sequence the pitch of the drum sounds and alter a gate times, but I fail to see after much trying how the bass sound was generated , SO I ASKED FOR A SAV FILE BECAUSE I BELIEVE THIS GUY IS FAKING IT!!!!!!!

  • i dont think so...

  • i think its very cool, that u play synthezizer for some time... but i have this game too, u can do it really, and thats not the real sound of this song...

  • very good. I am surprised at the high quality.

  • HI

I have a ds10 and am wondering how you get the bassline sound from the drum part (I see you mute it at about 3.21) I have played around with sequencing the pitch of the percussion parts but cant seem to achieve anything like you.

I think you could be faking it?

  • Wow! You're done what Kraftwerk dreamed of in 1981!

  • which version of the DS10 are u using? looks diferent than mine !!!

  • I think it's just the angle of the camera in relation to the DS's LCD screen making the colors look funky. It struck me as odd too.

  • ronfar623 and andypopwarhol.

I think RereChang just changed the brightness on there. In the options u can do that xD.

    Great work RereChang !

  • Well done! :)

  • Awesome mate, fucking awesome!

  • You are DS-10 Master, perfect reproduction, congratulations. 6 Stars!

  • The Kling Klang studio of the 80s has been reduced in size to a pocket game system, doing a song about a pocket calculator.

  • now that you got the sounds down you just got to figure out how to write your own songs!

  • by pressing down a special key it plays a little melody!

  • wow

  • holy shit, u are PRo

  • Amazing work.

  • Are you planing to mix other kraftwerk song on DS-10?

  • wow, well done, it really sounds great!!! Another korg DS-10 master!

  • damn, it's sooooooooooooooooooo cool!!! 5 STAR DUDE!!!!

  • DUDE! You have that down. Great job. Maybe put up some tutorials of how you made some of it. :)

  • Very nice song man :) Keep up the good work!

  • Good job on getting the synths to sound similar to the original.

  • fancy screen tapping work!

  • Nice job for your first song!

    Very impressive.

  • nice
