nasheed that the Ansar sung to the Prophet Muhammad upon his arrival at Yathrib( todays Madina) after completing the Hijra in 622 . The song is currently over 1400 years old, and is one of the oldest in the Islamic culture.

duff is alowed in islam and that is all Junaid Jamshed is using. when the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) arrived in Madina from Hijrah all the muslims used duff to greet him.

@Fizzaah1: I have consulted the scholars, the Hadith mentioning the 'duff' is about announcing 'marriage' (i.e. marriage should be announced even if you have use a duff to do so) and this does not permit duff in songs.

@abdmlk man dont be so hard, where in quran is given. who ever u have consulted ask him/her to show u an ayat from quran...Islam is not a dry religion.
