Actually, Kyle was talking about the land of *his* fathers- it is mentioned many tiimes in this movie that his dad is from Cleveland, Ohio. At the end of this movie, Shamus points out that Kyle is mispronouncing the word, but it is Shamus that doesn't know that Kyle is talking about Lake Eerie, not Ireland.
