  • You've either got a faulty psu or it's not powerful enough to run your rig. My pico psu has worked fine since I bought it over a year ago.

  • waste of time... -.-

  • Fourth, is that mains adapter even powerful enough? I notice its 86W but if that is an AMD CPU or an older Intel like a P4, it may very well need a lot more power than that.

Also why is the PicoPSU not plugged into the board properly in the video?

  • Firstly, there are a LOT of fake PicoPSUs for sale especially on eBay. Avoid them, I accidentally got one and it doesn't work with some boards.

Secondly, what rating PicoPSU is it and what board and CPU are you trying to power? You might be overloading it.

Third, are you 100% sure the AC adapter is working properly? Test the voltage coming into the PicoPSU with a multimeter, while the machine is running if possible. They can show okay without a load but fail when powering something.

  • Mine works fine, however I got a 150 watt plug with a 102 watt adapter, the adapter doesn't like to power more than 1 hard drive anda case fan, other than that it works just fine, wish I had the 150 watt adapter thoe...

  • I bought a Pico PSU-90 but when I plug the P4 connector in the board shorts out and will not turn on.....
