djbethell: I think they were more influenced by those 4 gentlemen aus Dusseldorf, who were influenced by russian artist El Lisitsky... Kraftwerkian style, not nazi... but that always seems to get confused, somehow..
How amazing were the girl's looks. There's so much reference to Nazi's in this style. I don't think we realized it at the time. Works perfect for this song.
DATA only performed at the show "Musicbox" in Germany, but not in "Disco", as far as I know. I have the "Musicbox" video, but it's not on YouTube (yet) ;-)
George Kajanus, the guy, was not happy with the project DATA, just google on him and sailor to read it all. DATA did a great number of songs. Romy Haag is my favourite. There is a connection to Peter Godwin track Over 21, DATA did this as well. I love the 80's Synth new romantic groups.
Suggestions on vids to look for. hard corps, landscape, ymo, rational youth, ODW, tik & tok...
Wow, really amazing seeing this video for the first time. I remember this song very good from the vinyl record "Opera Electronica". Thank you so much for uploading this video.
Fantastic! I wasn't in the UK for most of the 80s, so I haven't seen this before. Thank heaven for YouTube, so I can catch up on great stuff like this that I missed!
Wow! Had this 45 for years, but never seen this.

Too kind, Timmy, but I think the whole scene was ahead of it's time - but that's a contradiction...

I've got the limited edition CD release of 'Opera Electronica'. Bought it off George Kajanus a few years back.
If you send me a PM on my YouTube Channel, i can upload an mp3 version of the album for you.

Hallo!
Vielen Dank

DATA were ten times a better group than Sailor. George Kajanus will realise that in years to come.
