You're wrong. Orb is weaker but faster.

yes is weaker if u look at the damage number written on the skill....but when the orb explodes, spreads in 4 spikes that hit all the enemies around...that means that if u're a good player u can hit the monster with 2 or 3 spikes a time...the blizzard damage is tiny if u campare it with 2 or 3 spikes of the orb....try it XD

Yeah, I have an orb sorcerer in battlenet and i think its better than blizz.

Btw... does anybody know how many times does the orb can hit?

4, but is impossible to hit with more than 3 a single moster....the orb explodes and the 4 spikes go in the 4 directions.... a monster can be hit by at max 3 spikes....but 3 spikes isn't bad at all XD

Yep, but my avg damage with orb is 500 x3 = 1500 which isnt that good. I've seen fire sorcerers doing 20k dmg

yes, it looks like fire is more powerful than ice, but ehm... i don't what is its english name (the skill that reduces the ice resistance)..if u raise it to 20, enemies won't have resistance from your frozen orb... otherwise, the fire tree hasn't that skill, so your enemies still have the fire resistance (and it's not fine if u know that in nightmare difficulty there are monsters with 80% fire resistance)...trust me, ice is much more strong than fire, and frozen orb can do lots of damages XD

Yeah, I can see it, but it's nice to have an alt, even on normal, Tried Meteor, and settled on Fireball. In the end tho, Chain and Orb, if you can get the lvls before here. Point taken that it is considerably more difficult on normal, unless, you use the code for upping the number of players, which I wouldn't really consider cheating, since it IS harder.

when u want to make hardcore character make a meele sorc with 64k dmg or my dudu with 60k poisen dmg i own all many characters are hardcore and all characters are not perfekt but ice sorc ist very bad

lmao 2 low? try 2k dmg from blizzard everytime it kits plus a 500 dmg frozen orb you waste shit and you can do it in packs and they cant chase after you cause they are chilled. best mass killing class in diablo

Blizzard and frostsphere ok.2500 and 400 orb dmg.Try it in hardcore.But it isnt really good to skill both.Try it on hardcore. Fireball 3700 dmg and + 4or5 to all you have 6000.Meteor 17000 but it isnt really good.Fireball has a faster cast rate then orb.

ahhhhh i remember first time i killed diablo :D with my barbarian approx lvl 28 :< it was a bitch, the only reason i got the guts to do it was because there was a portal shrine really close to the middle where spawns :d nedless to say it took quite a while, got that char to lvl 6x on singleplayer :< wtb him back

For diablo i suggest get more fire resists, and static field skill - you die fast at the feet of diablo, but even with few static field casts diablo life will drop to ~10% ;D keep blizzard over D head and run around ;)

I play single player, too. Is it far more difficult sicne oyu can't buy things form others - it only luck and oyur wits. Ok, and some experience iwth the mouse- or, in my case, iwth the touch-pad :) I've never played iwth a sorc but I think this cold thingie is good agains diablo - since he loves fire and not cold. But my dream is to be able ot freeze duriel one day, no matter what character I am playing with.

@Viimane for duriel i stacked up 6 points in fire wall and just kept plowing it with firewalls and she went down in like 6 seconds and i only used 3 full rejuvie potions. i think i was level 25, sorc. hope that helps :p
