I learned this kata from Hanshi Kise personally, and I can tell you that this is 90% the same. Not exact, certainly. Kise favors different stances, and there are some small differences in the techniques. I have seen film of Hohan Soken performing this kata, which is consistent with what Hanshi Kise now teaches. Perhaps we are splitting hairs? I agree that they are not identical, and the stylistic differences are real. But the heart of the form remains, as I said highly conserved. With respect.
This is essentially the same Seisan taught by Hohan Soken & Fusei Kise who are in the matsumura seito tradition. Some minor differences in footwork, tension, but overall highly conserved. Nicely performed, also.
@movinmeat This Kata is Positively NOT a Matsumura Seito Kata by any means taught by O'Sensei Soken. It is not even the old Shorinji Ryu version that Sensei Kise taught in the 60s & 70s.

The way this kata is done was taught by Sensei Hidetoshi Nakahashi.

Sorry, but this is incorrect. I practice Shito Ryu since 1974, and both Seisan and Matsumura No-Seisan are two different Katas.

Yes, that's indeed the shito ryu version.
