  • Love the way he walks in XD His attitude on stage is just amazing!

  • Master of the house, isn't worth my spit.

    Comforter, philosopher, and lifelong shit.

    Cunning little brain, regular Voltaire.

Thinks he's quite a lover, but there's not much there.

What a cruel trick of nature landed me with such a louse!

God knows how I've lasted living with this bastard in the house!

    Best part.

  • This is brilliant!

  • I find this funny...

  • "Everybody raise a glass, Raise it up the masters arse", pure comic genious. I love Les Mis!!!

  • Lol did anyone else start swaying with the chorus in the background?

  • I like his hat :)

  • wicked is not as good as les mis!!

  • Man I wanna see Les Mis and Wicked on broadway!

  • Not gonna lie the way he moves his hips is sexy

  • Master of the Part...

  • I wish they could mix the ensemble in this performance with Alun then I would love this even more. Of course, it is still a wonderful performance!

  • So funny and a great ensemble effort

  • matt lucas looks so different with eyebrows! :P

  • It will be 50 years before the performance of both "these" will be surpassed!

  • 0:08 = Major swag!!

  • "Your intentions may not be correct." Awesome clashing harmony there! xD And I love Matt's drunk swagger upon entrance!

  • This is one of the guys from Little Britain !

  • is this the sames woman who was in the 10th anniversary coz she looks the same

  • @CodManic yes it is her name is jenny galloway

  • ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!! A well needed comic relief in an otherwise sombre musical. I love Les Mis !!

  • a great version of a great song and great part!

  • cosette disliked this, poor girl

  • Dear God, they are nothing short of FIERCE! Absolutely love this performance.

  • OMG! i'm gunna be mme.thenardier in my school musical in spring and i'm so nervous!

  • Did anyone catch that this is EXACTLY like the 10th? Down to the gestures....

  • mat lucas?

  • @kamfoh u don't say.......

  • 3:39 :D

  • I am so exited about seeing this for the first time in the queens. My sister saw the tour cast. I wish jenny was our Mme Thenardier cos shes exellent

  • The way he acts reminds me of Arthur Weasley. I dont know why, he just does.

  • @abbyangel9 NO ARTHUR WEASLEY RULES AND SO DOES HARRY POTTER!!!!!!!!

  • @SuperFruitloop09 I agree one hundred percent. Im a potterhead, dont you worry. But I think its the way he dresses...

  • Anyone else here think that this guy could play Mme. Thénardier as well as Thénardier?

  • is it just me who thinks that matt lucas would make an excellent uncle ernie in the whos tommy?

  • Master Thenadier = FIT! xD

  • I wrote all the lyrics on here then I accidentally pressed delet all

  • @NuckaSamich Well that was very silly of you.

  • @JamesCreeveyPotter That makes no sense, if it was supposed to fit they would be French |:

  • Master Thenardier:.. For darling Colette...

    Mss Thenardier: Cosette

    Master Thenardier: Cosette.

    I love that part :D

  • Matt Lucas is just perfect for Thenardier, sly yet so funny!

  • The chorus is having SO much fun! It's really great to watch :)

  • Makes me laugh everytime xD

  • Matt Lucas is absolutelly amazing. I think he's perfect for this role... Love him so much

  • Alun Armstrong had a perfect face for the crook landlord. This person looks a little young?

The madame hadn't aged one bit!

  • i think both of them were greattt! i love how they look super awesome.

  • Just saw Alfie Boe at last night at the proms , and he sung various Les Mis songs :-) He was EPIC

  • I don't like the choice for master Thenardier, but the one for the Madame is perfect! She looks just like the one from the 10th anniversary!

  • @missdeona: that's 'cause she's the same actress :P

  • I just saw the American tour in Denver last week, and have to say that I was blown away by it. All of the main characters were amazing, the singing brilliant and beautiful, and in some ways I felt the production was better than the amazing 10th Anniversary London show. The spine chills and tear duct production during many of the songs were abundant. I have seen recordings of this 25th Anniversay production, and the one I saw is much better imho.

  • @michaelgran100 i saw that

  • @michaelgran100 I saw the one in Omaha last feb. and I agree I've seen all of the london ones and some american ones but that .. American tour.. they were amazing and I thought the sets were more thought out .. like idk.. better than some of the other ones. Like on this one in Omaha it was actually like a house.. instead of a clutter looking bunch of wood

  • @SunnysmalltownGirl (I haven't seen the London ones live lol just the ones on youtube! I've never been to London though I was supposed to tour all over europe with a lot of fellow Band players from my area of the state. Didn't though because I like showing cattle better.. and Dad got me a car instead...

  • I loved this version, and you can hear that the audience loves him - through the entire show. He was amazing :D

  • I fail to understand why people want it the same or as equally as good as the 10th. Every show that is performed wants to be unique and have its own stamp. This really does do it justice. How boring would it be if the 25th was a carbon copy of the 10th? the 10th is fantastic there is no doubt about it. Even the music is a different sound compared to the 10th. so its all about is being individual!

SHUT UP AND ENJOY THE MUSIC

  • My 12 year old son LOVES this version!!!

  • it's funny that people are comparing the actresses of 10th vs 25th... since it is the same actress. i would agree she did a better job in the 10th anniversary though

  • While Alun Armstrong will always be Thenardier for me, I have to say I'm plesantly surprised how well Matt Lucas sits in the part.

  • stop hating!! the Thenadiers are supposed to sound sort of throaty and look like crooks he did a great job, he had fun and portrayed the role perfectly

  • madame was more passionate in the 10th.........

  • @tennisbeasta1234 I think that this madame is a little more restrained, but both are equally valid interpritations

  • @TheMMOFifty besides, both performances were by the same woman

  • i think they were great, 10th and 25h anniversary.

they both brought different interpretations and regardless of how they did. i think they played the character very well

  • Holy shit i never knew Matt Lucas could sing, but hes awesome in this!!

  • This is lacking the energy of the 10th, I think it misses the rest of the cast clapping and singing along behind :(

  • IT makes me LOL the way she says "but there's not much there...." (4:33)

  • They break character...But it's okay :D

  • I looked this song up intentially because I loved the "Master of the House" he made this the best song in the entire thing with the overactting. It was perfect

  • 10th anniversary was WAY better...I hated this one....I didn't find this one to be believable. Theatrical maybe, but not believable.

  • This was brilliant! I love the 10th Anniversary, but this man was awesome!

  • i think i can sing most of this song now i only need to learn it on piano

  • Raise it up the masters Arse!!!

  • you still gotta hand it to these guys, they may not have been as good as TAC or anything, I think they still put on a pretty entertaining show

  • The chorus cracks me up. They get so into the song... :3

  • @BwayBoundChristian I love your comment about the chorus! it's so true!!!!!!!

  • I disagree with most of these posts. I thought this was fantastic. It was lively and fun. I can see why people would want to stay at this guy's inn, even if he is a bit of a crook.

  • @Adoantarel Crook? He's a SLEEZ. EW. ...and he's Matt Lucas. Kay that settles it. I'm staying there.

  • Poor,

    He OVER did his performance,

Alun Armstrong(10yr) one of the bests.

  • I love that they tried to make it different :)

I mean i would have hated to see something SO similar to the 10th Anniversary one.

Of course the 10th Anniversary will always be my favorite LOL But I enjoy getting to see new takes on it :D

  • Is Lindsay Lohan in this?? 3:55 to 3:57, there's a girl who looks A LOT like her.

  • I saw Gary Beach play Thenadier on Broadway; for me nothing will beat that performance.

  • i hate the fucking little hip shakes this is les mis not chip n dales

  • was it intentional that Master Thenadier was made to look like an elfin pig?

  • @bretthemora I think so.

  • why does he wave his hips when he says everything has got a little price at 1.38??? Is he a whoreman?

  • @Respectthewilderness um, 1.ew, 2. I think he was just adjusting posture, 3. ewwwwwww

  • @TheMMOFifty hahah

  • @bretthemora XD I THINK SO!

  • @bretthemora Elfin pig?

I was thinking more along the lines of "goblin".

  • @bretthemora Absolutely.

  • @bretthemora Yes.

  • @bretthemora yeah
