@kchlup the thing is that vocal technique is for the benefit and health of any singer, to learn how to breath properly, how to sing with a raised palate and a low larynx, etc I think it's more of a matter of health and how to use the instrument, more than a matter of singing classical vs popular. I think.

@kchlup the low notes are the problem I think... plus his voice is a bit raspy, and that doesn't sound very healthy to me....

Nice work by Sting. I had a go at updating Dowland myself earning a slightly stuffy response from those in the classical world but entertaining those in blues world. Enjoyed myself, learned a lot and still love listening the original pieces played by early music buffs.
