Written in 1975 by Alan Merrill and Jake Hooker of Arrows they recorded the first released version in England. The song was later made famous in the USA by the version recorded by Joan Jett & the Blackhearts in 1981. Jett's version only made peak chart position #4 in England because the Arrows version was already known there.
@NykSyx6 and logic dictates Joan Jett was a pretty big Arrows fan to cover their 1975 original recording twice. Once in 1979 and again in '81. I think it sucks that you censored my original post as spam. I was just stating the truth. The truth is not spam. It's solid information.
@jojoranter Dude i did not list that as spam bro !! I would never do that . I honestly do not know who did that , im a very liberial person and do not believe in censership what so ever , i just clicked it as not spam ,! This has happend to other post to for some reasom , but i assure you its not me at all !
@jojoranter It's like communist China hiding your post as spam. The truth is being censored. That's really sick. Rock n roll, freedom, yeah right. Without the Arrows there would be no song I love rock n roll. Why the fear of the truth? I mean, if Joan Jett hadn't been turned on by the Arrows doing the song on TV in the UK in 1976 she never would have bought their record and covered their song, and that's a fact.
The Arrows was actually first ones to record it in england then Joand did it

LA Guns. They sound cool, a lot like Japan's L'Arc En Ciel. I love all the covers of this Arrows song. Joan Jett makes a great cover too I agree!
